He's talking about when the degreaser didn't even exist and the flamethrowers used to do considerably more damage and the backburner had some rediculous stats, such as giving +50 health to pyros. | ||

Ah, OK. I saw the +75 health, and you can only get that by killing someone with the PowerJack as Pyro, and only ever could get it from that. LiNk coming out with "you're so new that you don't even know what I'm talking about" when he's wrong about the health ^_^ Looking at the patch notes, it only ever gave +50 health. | ||

My bad. My first advice is to not focus on the weapon loadouts or hats, to start with. When I first started, I thought the reason I got roflstomped is because my opponents had better weapons. For the most part, stock weapons do fine. Second piece of advice: get off the NighTeam, Skial server etc. They have premium users, use bots and are overall pretty bad. I advise looking for Reddit servers and/or My Little Pony servers. It depends on where you live and play from. In Australia... Also some tips and tricks/better advice than I have on there. Fourth piece of advice: don't feel the need to practice only one class. Play all of them until you feel comfortable and know enough to say definitively which class you enjoy most. Fifth piece of advice: Don't get caught up in points. The scoreboard can be very misleading. From a pyro's perspective, you get the same number of points for extinguishing a team-mate as you do for reflect headshotting a Bow and Arrow sniper (proud to say I've managed that =] ). The most important thing is that you feel you are contributing to the team effort. If that means you have to camp at the Intelligence (/flag) or heal people when you aren't getting any kills, that's fine.
