Hello Team Liquid.

First, i would like to apoplogize for not having any pics for you to look at. I'll keep it a little brief to compensate i'm posting this tethered from my phone >.< don't have a "friendly" neighbor with unsecured wireless.

I am currently starting my masters thesis. So, with work coming in now, today, my internet decided to just randomly die on me. The router kept telling there was no signal at all. After checking all wires we put in place ourselves a few years back and had rewired with my dad moving in a month ago, i pretty much ran out of options. I have now hooked the router up almost directly to the box in the basement, where the providers wire arrives in the first place, and still there's no signal. Tech support told me there is an wide area issue around here, but the connection i use would be in another network, so i *shouldn't* be affected. Well, now the tech guy is scheduled for tuesday afternoon to come over here and check the wires. So i've got two options to expect:

a) i'm stupid and missed something (i feel like that's unlikely, but you never know..)
b) i am affected by the wide area issue and the tech support woman read it wrong or something
c) hardware failure inside the router aka hoping the tech guy has a replacement with him or i have to wait for one
d) hardware fault with our house's cable outside of the house, somewhere on the way to the providers hardware (ugh)

in any case, unless it's option b) and thus randomly fixes itself until tomorrow or something, i'm screwed for at least the next two and a half days up to indefinitely. So much for working on my thesis for now, guess i'll spend the whole of monday sitting in the university basement doing my stuff on this slow as hell notebook with crappy wireless internet. sigh.

but thank god there's singleplayer games and i have a bunch of those installed. Just now i finished bastion. Suuuuuch a cool game =D <3 !! other than that, i still have what seems to be the last level of frozen synapse (which i fucking can not beat no matter what i do omfg), about 40% of super meat boy not completed yet and magicka and terraria installed too. Also i have a few old movies on hdd which i could re-watch. But other than that, i'll be sitting pretty dry over the next few days TT

can't watch any youtube vids of TB or Jesse (<3 you guys!), can't hang out on teamspeak with my buddies, can't continue the old republic, can't play any LoL, meh i'm even reduced to browsing on a shit screen resolution with images disabled because tethering over phone is fucking slow and i only have a 400mb budget before it gets slowed down even more (although the really slow thing is ping/connetion establishing rather than data transfer, so that probably won't get worse). So i can't even check the funny pictures thread without using up that budget real fast x)

Well anyhow, i'll be fine. Contrary to popular belief of a lot of people around me, i can live perfectly fine without internet and i am not addicted x) it's just tons of fun and it annoys the hell out of me when i don't have access. So, here's to sharing annoyance! Guess i'll read more blogs than usual, they are mostly made up of text and thus acceptable in bandwidth usage ^^
