Okay, first thing first: Bastion.
If you have not tried this game, try it. It is pretty cheap (and even cheaper if you catch it on sale) so that shouldnt be a problem for the most. And it is really really one of the best games I have ever played. The game has so good gameplay, it is an action RPG viewed from 3rd person (a little like SC2). The movement and the attacking / shooting runs very smooth, though I have one small complaint: Because the game is made in a way so the levels get built as you run around, and it is like a levitating island you are on, it is easy to fall out of the map, but still the game is very forgiving and only takes a small part of your health. Everytime you unlock a new weapon, you can do some challenges with it and get some prizes if you win, pretty fun. (I got first prize in sniper in first go lol :D )
But for me, the best part must be the awesome narration throughout the whole game! Really, this dude has like this really american cowboy voice that sounds awesome, and he always talks about the back-history of the game and also talks about relevant things that you do. Like if I die, he would say something like: "Luckily, Kid has his xxxxx potion (Cant remember what the potion is named, but it gives you an extra revival)"
And the graphics; O M G. I love it so damn much. I think they say that it is water colour, or was it oil painting? dont remember, but it looks incredibly good. The models in the game are also pretty cool.
Now to one more awesome thing 'bout this game: the soundtrack. I wont say much more than that it is awesome; and that you should check it out on YouTube,
Last point on Bastion: The story. The story is brief that you start as a kid on a floting piece of land. Something called the Calamity has killed most people on the world, though some kind of creatures survived. The Ura is a kind of group as I understand it, they are like ninja's, and they are pissed off because the Caelondians caused the Calamity somehow. But through the game you rebuild 'The Bastion', which is your home in the game, by collecting cores and shards.
I will tell about the best moment in the game, but it is a pretty big spoiler.

In the very last level, you have this giant battering ram, and you come across Zulf, who betrayed you earlier and ruined the Bastion which you have fighted hard to build up. Zulf's people, the Ura, has attacked him for leading you to their place, and he is dying, you can then choose to leave him or take him with you. I chose to take him with me, and you walk slowly past alot of enemys shooting you, with Zulf over your shoulder, and the music is very touching. This almost made me cry for the first time in many years....
Bastion is a really good game. I got 8 hours of amazing fun out of it, and I am not done yet, since I can do playthrough again ^^ This game deserves a 9,5/10 for amazing gameplay, touching story, and great graphics and soundtrack. My only complaint is the weird platforms that make it hard to see where you are gonna fall down, and where you aren't. I recommend buying this game if you are in for some awesome RPG, Action game.
This really got longer than I thought it would. Thanks for reading!
