EPTI fell asleep thinking only about macro, overlords and drone saturation.
Today I woke up feeling good :-) It was still dark outside when I jumped straight into the games and strated winning ... and didn't stop until 7 consecutive macro wins. It's as if my brain finally got it =)
After yesterday's frustration, my macro looks much better than it did. I even had a close game with a Master protoss, while ZvP is my weakest matchup.
Last couple of days I was experimenting with baneling drops in ZvP. I started off thinking that I'll rush for +2 melee and harass mineral line, and then defend with ling baneling infestor.
However I had a lot of trouble with that style. To pull that off I needed to tech a LOT. I was very vulnerable around the 10 minute mark, so I'd easily die to any gateway timing. Also it was hard to take 3rd base because I was so vulnerable. So as a result, my baneling harassment killed about 20 probes, but protoss took 3rd before me and outmacroed me anyway. Or he straight-up killed me with a counter-attack.
One game I managed to survive long enough to get 5 loaded overlords + ling infestor force. It worked brilliantly, crushing a bigger and more expensive protoss army. I've never seen a zerg army so cost-efficient as infestor + baneling drop composition.
This game made me think that bane drops are just as good for big battles, as they are for harassment. However I need RELIABLE standard fighting unit to clean-up the remaining protoss units after the bombing. Lings were far too unreliable, Collosus was roasting 3-4 of them with every shot.
So I started playing a standard roach mid-game with a lategame transition into baneling drops. This is how well it worked out for me:

I can still get ahead economically behind a roach army, but I'll be way more effective in end-game battles than I would with only roach corruptor infestor. I love it!
