A few days ago, I went over to a friend's place to cook dinner. I had purchased some fish stock that morning, but I didn't actually use the whole thing, so I decided to take it back home. Unfortunately, the carton was not sealed properly...
10 minutes into the car ride home, my car started to smell awkward. At first, I had absolutely no idea what it was -- I had realized something had spilled, but it never clicked in my mind that one of the foulest ingredients in my cooking arsenal had been the culprit.
When I finally arrived at home, I found that the container had emptied itself... Now, this container probably contained about 5 cups of fish stock. All of those 5 cups spilled all over my leather seat, my boyfriend's jacket, and my carpet. There was pretty much a large puddle underneath my passenger seat.
I already treated the carpet with dish soap, an orange-based degreaser (goo gone), febreeze (horrible decision, actually) and a car carpet cleaner. However, the smell still persists on day 3. The carpets don't really have the fish odor, but my car still has that obnoxious smell to it.
So TL, I turn to you for help. What can I do to get rid of this fish smell?
My car is currently venting with cracked windows in a cool garage, so I'm hoping that helps.

I've heard leaving ground coffee overnight removes odors.
Edit: In a container of sorts, of course.

I know for smelly fridges, we just put some baking soda to absorb the smell. Don't really know how effective it is though.

I was thinking about baking soda, but a lot of websites say to just pour it on the carpet.

Major circumstances call for major measures; have your car be professionally treated if you want to fully get rid of the foul stench. Other than that,

This exact same thing happened to me once, and i treated the carpet and the leather with motor oil. then use shop towels to soak it up, gets rid of the smell better than any of the other methods i tried.

Get four friends, and get everyone in the car. Close windows and turn air condition off. Now get everyone to light the biggest fattest cigar you guys can find. Nobody leaves until those bad boys are smoked up.

You might as well tell her to take a shit in her car. As people have mentioned, just take it to be professionally treated for $15-25. Cheaper than baking soda and the time you spend on it.
