I just watched the video about the marathon and depression, and I've gotta say we just might be the same person inside (we look alike, too) :D. And I want to give you mad props for going for extreme physical and mental challenges, rather than taking a prozac/zoloft and waiting for a miracle to happen. I've done both, and the results were - I quit zoloft way too early because I just didn't feel like relying on a pill (besides, it made me sleepy and worthless) - then I started doing a strange running routine - run in a mountain until I puke, and when I do - it's time for me to turn to 180 degrees and come back. I couldn't even get off the bed the next day but it felt awesome nevertheless. I did this every third day for more than a month and it helped - most people would look at me and say I'm a complete madman, look at you and remark that what you do isn't healthy, but for people in that condition it helps soooo much. Now I've transitioned into challenging myself to be better, rather than aiming at a certain number, and this IS healthy and it IS the right thing to do, but I guess you know it already. I'm sure you'll do the same thing afterwards

Good luck with everything Tyler! Regardless of how well you perform you're still my favorite player and always will be. hey Tyler. I just wanted to say that I'll be cheering for you. I have depression as well and I'm currently 22, college graduate, unemployed, living at parents home (hell), and all my friends are far away from me. I know how hard depression can be and I've had my fair share of episodes. Good luck and thanks for putting depression in such a public spotlight. Fan since TSL 2! Nony fighting!

You're going to have to do some serious planning to stay in the best shape for as long as possible :p Good luck Tyler ! It's a big challenge, but... can be done !

Personally I think he should split it up into 26.2 chunks of each. It doesn't sound that hard to me to do 26.2 1 mile runes separated by like an hour. He doesn't exactly have to set world records.

I don't know... I mean your legs barely have the time to warm up with one mile, I don't think it's very healthy when you have to do that 20+ times, and you won't take the time to stretch after each one, so.... I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think it's the way to go. Maybe like 3 miles at once. With stretches. Ahhh, I just don't like splitting it up so much, makes my legs hurt just thinking about it :D

its not as if its a race, he just has to run it. at a gentle pace you dont need to warm up, a gentle pace IS a warm up.

On a side and more serious note.....I'll just say I understand how depression can make you feel, how much it can affect every aspect of your life, and leave it at that. Thank you for being who you are, you bring a lot of enjoyment and fun to a lot of nerds like me. :D
