Hello, I am here writing my blog with an update for when I travelled over to Helsinki, Finland to commentate my first Assembly Summer event!!!

The day had came, where I was to fly out to Helsinki, Finland, my first time there! I had just come off commentating at the European Console League for the UK SC2 tournament, I had a few days to collect and compile my notes ready for Assembly Summer. I spent every spare minute I had during the day to prepare for Assembly, the same process as Dreamhack Summer, creating a 40page book on the tournament itself, groups and brackets and then a single page of information on each player (32players). This is a tip for any aspiring commentators out there, not only do you need to fill your game knowledge mistakes in, you also should get a full understanding of who is attending, their team, preferences and recent record, this prepares you to create the story while commentating.
I had my book ready and I packed all my clothes and this time I wanted to take my laptop so I could easily stay in touch with home while I was at the hotel, I also had the luxury to watch films/take notes and continue to stay connected while in Manchester Airport.

I arrived at the airport in plenty of time, went to a restaurant/bar and setup my laptop while talking with Desrow on his stream while taking some last minute notes. I made the my last UK call to my girlfriend before boarding the plane

I landed in Amsterdam for my connection flight which was a nightmare, because I landed, 30mins before the next flight, to Helsinki was meant to take off, so I had to fight and climb over people trying to get through boarder control so I could get in time for my meetup/connection with Totalbiscuit, I eventually got there 10mins before it was due to take off.. luckily... what a blog this would have been if I had missed that :D
As mentioned I met up with Totalbiscuit here and we flew across to Helsinki together, the flight from Amsterdam was about 2hours.

We arrived at Helsinki at about 00:00 and we were greeted by non other than Tranceh, he is the guy behind the curtains running pretty much every stream at Dreamhack and now Assembly, he picked us up and we headed off to the Hotel, making a quick stop at Mcdonalds :D
As we arrived at the Hotel, Holiday Inn, we were sitting downstairs eating when a loose NightEnd comes downstairs at 1am or close to, in his shorts and tshirt and his great Romanian accent! It was the first time I had met him, so I introduced myself, he knew me already :blush: and we talked in the Hotel lobby while we finished off our Mcdonalds.

I took an sprint headstart to the hotel as I was so tired and took liberty to grab a fast shower before getting ready for bed.. and well this is when the problem started :D

As I fall asleep, totalbiscuit follows shortly... and I wake up shortly after hearing Totalbiscuit talking in his loud standard voice, so I presume its a call from his wife or something then I nod back off... and it happens again?! I focus a little more to realize he is sleep.. casting?! Yeah.. sleepcasting?! Just odd lines here and there, I was so tired but lines like:

"Nonono, we are not ready to go live yet"
"blahblahblah really great blah"

It was the first time I had experienced something like this, I was pleasantly surprised lol..
