but there's no common saying for black haired people ive heard raven-haired, or raven-taressed, and even brunette to encompass black haired as well but none of these sit right with me. In casual conversation we often overlook this and just call them dark haired people or describe them awkwardly but it'd be awesome if there was a proper word to fit in with the others. So any one know of any or have any good suggestions for what we might call those bestowed with such dark hair?  | ||

I guess there doesn't seem to be a word for it...although in most fantasy novels, you get: "the man with coal-black hair" or "the woman with raven hair." | ||

I mean I rarely hear people calling guys brunettes, even though it seems like according to wikipedia that would be proper. But if you are looking for a different word then: http://thesaurus.com/browse/black I personally like obsidian and onyx. | ||
