Prom is Friday next week, and guess what? I don't have a date.
It's not like i'm a total vagina and have never spoken to girls before, but where i'm from its the capital of scandalous bitches and hoes. They call it "Scandalous OC" (Orange County, CA). Why? Because for some sick reason it is okay to accept a boy's (me) invitation to accompany him to prom, wait two weeks later and tell him you (her) already promised someone else to go with them.
You know what the thing that got me sick to my stomach is? She has to pay for that kid's whole prom package. While on this side we would've split the cost. Where is the logical reasoning in this? She offers to take a bum who isn't even going to pay for the fucking tickets to prom, at the same time agreeing to be my date, then calling the whole shit off one week before the event.
Scandalous O.C it is. She mustered up the fucking gut to call my homie before she calls me and tell him about how she feel awful (probably not) about calling off the date and how she will make it up. I was about to fucking to kill someone when we were done having the phone conversation. She couldn't even control her tone of voice speaking to me, not even a single hint of remorse, just a "oops sorry -smiles-" tone of voice that i fucking hate so bad. I could've said so much to the dumb bitch, but i refrained in doing so because the bitch is probably a sociopath that is incapable of remorse. All I said was "Okay" and "It's fine" to reply to her so-called 'apologies'. Two days later i'm still fucking disgusted and pissed off. (Oh and she sits next to me in pre-calculus. Whoop - dee - fucking - doo)
Another thing that I am extremely disgusted at is how some kids are so desperate to feed their insecurities they go through extreme measures to get dates for prom. I had another girl in mind that i wanted to ask to prom. Some kid beat me to it. He offered to pay forbribed her, got all her friends there and asked her the question. Being the nice angel she is she can't refuse his little present of paying for their whole prom night and the huge peer pressure of accepting. Robbed. Fucking just got mugged of a beautiful prom date by some kid who feels so insecure about his ability to get a date he have to offer to pay to incite the inner greed of human beings and at the same time scare her into accepting the request. Fucking robbed.
Probably just going to forever alone to prom. No stupid scandalous bitch is going to rob me of an awesome once in a lifetime opportunity. Even though i feel that my pride is going to diminish the moment i walk into prom night without a date, or would i rather go with a nobody? Or I might not even go at all? Make up some excuse about my house being on fire and dodge. Cast away my pride and enjoy myself? But to be honest...
I don't know what to do.

and you're super pissed that your other potential date was "bribed" by someone who DID pay?
Honestly you sound like that kid who accuses everyone who beats him in SC of hacking, I wouldn't want to go to prom with someone with that attitude either. Calm down, prom is completely unnoteworthy anyway.

Just go solo. Nobody really gives a damn about prom but the girls who want to feel like a pampered princess and you'll have a ton of fun with nobody else to drag you down.
Just be a man and do your own thing. All in all, prom is not a big deal.

Just have a chill day. Hang out with your real friends or find someone who isn't going. Or get a hot junior to go.

Before you do any of that, you need to chill the hell down. I can guarantee you that being pissy is going to drive away a lot of women and friends. What happened sucked, but you need to be able to deal with that. You're a grown man now.

The focus on the other kid was more on the fact that he put her in a situation that pressured her very strongly to say yes.
And his description of the girl was spot-on given the shit she pulled on him. That's fucked up.

Before I say anything, I understand you're angry. I understand that very little of this makes sense right now and that this thread you've written is coming from a place which is a combination of those two things. What you must understand, first and foremost(and I mean no insult to yourself or women as a whole by saying the following) women do not generally operate from a logical standpoint like guys do. Once you figure out that they make their way through life based on attention and emotion, you'll be miles ahead of 99% of other guys in terms of getting and understanding women.
The funny thing about prom(s) is that a year or two from now, it's something you can look back on and wonder why it was such a big deal.

Ta da! Exactly. No one else will, or can for that matter, rob you of having a good time. If you decide to go alone and end up having a bad time it's probably your own mindset(and preoccupations) keeping you from having the time of your life! No matter what, you will have no one to blame but yourself for what happens that night (or any night of your life) but yourself.
Believe it or not, there are a bunch of girls who go alone, and some who don't. . . but end up without a date by the end of the night. I have complete confidence that by the end of the night, if you go with a positive mindset(and proper action to accompany it) you will: A. Have a kick ass time and B. Probably end up with a girl to AT LEAST make out with by the end of the night.
Go to this social event, and be a social animal. Have a good time! Like I told you before, no one can rob you of that but yourself. It will be what you make of it. Make those chicks who bailed on you jealous that you're able to have such a great time without them. Hell, clown on their dates, that'd be funny. The night will be what you make of it. Once you get through a few parties in college, you'll probably come to the realization that prom is just an expensive excuse to have a regular old party(except with chaperones lollll).
As a side note, I wish I had gone to one of my (three) proms stag.

I haven't gone to prom o.o; and I am happy I didn't. I have more self respect than that. Just because people go, it's usually a mindless infestation of retards there. As I got older I had younger female friends who were 18 and going to prom and would ask me to go as their date and I'd still decline.
Just saying bro. Prom is more for the average guy/gal who don't know any better. It usually means nothing. Get good relationships =P

I keep cool in front of people, this blog was just to let out anger and frustration, having asian parents and their constant nagging doesn't help either.
The reason i'm pissed at the other kid is because he almost forced her to go with him, she was put in situation where saying "no i can't" is messed up.
And no, i rarely bm people in sc

It is always interesting to read how in other counties it is such a big deal to get a date for the prom. So what if you go alone, and just have fun?
