ANYWAY! I ended up getting into UC Davis's Young Scholars Program (which is actually pretty legitimate in that it's not uber-low-leveled stuff--nor is it one of those programs in which one applies just to take a class for credits etc.)!! YESSSSS!!!!!

I'm looking forward to it soooooo much because it's likely going to be a great community, I'll be able to actually conduct research under a prof mentor, and I'll meet tons of cool people! :D It's not extremely rigorous, either, so there will be time to cram in the summer work, etc. (*cough* have to get a reallyreallyreally solid foundation in calc by the time the school year rolls around <____<.

Also, I blew past 1500 ^^ so yayz!

I'm unbelievably happy!! :D :D :D OUI!!! OUI!!! OUIIIIIII!!!

ANYWAY, after all the celebration, I also have to study for my APs/SAT IIs.

My first AP test is Euro (5/6), and I really need to know it better because I essentially bs'd my way through the course. Following that is SAT II French (5/7). Then, I have AP French (5/10). I have a dire need to prepare for both APs since I'm quite terribad and French as well as Euro. I will crank out epic machine mode and just study, study, study, and completely immerse myself...lol.

Following that I have my SAT II Math and Physics test on the same day (6/4). Not particularly worried about either since I will have much more time to adequately prepare for those, and they're also relatively easy--though I won't underestimate them.

Definitely need 800s and 5s across the board, but talk is cheap. It's time to get down to business.

It's also time to get off of TL. Wish me luck~ ^^

Best of luck. My friends took AP French and had lots of QQ to tell me about. Also, Euro is a bitch. I hope you've been studying already, because it's going to be hard to cram all that info in from now till the day of the test.

Yeah, I know both of them are hard...apparently euro hasn't been particularly hard from how we've been taught at our school, but I am seriously dropping essentially everything that's not essential right now. French is notoriously hard because they make it so hard to accommodate for native speakers/learners, etc. Euro is just a whole lot of information...

Oh haha, I haven't gotten 800s across the board (yet :3); I'm just a sophomore hehe I did get 800s "across the board" on my SAT I, but I really want to do really well on all of my APs and subject tests as well. ><

Languages tend to be pretty hard unless you have an extremely rigorous program or speak it regularly.

I found the Euro History to be quite easy. I took it without any class or preparation and got a 5. However, I have a great love for history and have done a lot of reading over my life about historical figures and events. (I also remember what I read very well.) Don't know exactly how you study or learn best, but mostly you just want to understand why events happen. Just a few key points of understanding on what caused different wars or social changes will help you be able to answer a lot of the essay questions and some of the multiple choice.

Oh, good job!

Yeah, let these responses serve as sobering comments. I'm just taking out the review books out, printing out pertinent study charts, going through everything once again, and practicing.

In terms of French, my essay-writing is pretty solid (we've done this regularly for a long time), my reading is hit-and-miss (either I beast it or I miss it quite badly), my speaking is also hit-and miss (sometimes I'm very fluid, other times I take too much time to think), and my listening needs some work because I space out sometimes.

For Euro, I'm pretty confident that I can learn and retain information quite quickly, but the works still needs to be done. I have DBQs under control easily, but I just need to cram as much volume of information as possible, so that I can get the MCs and have something to spill when I do spill my guts of FRQ information.
