400MB Data Volume on Cell Phone worth 15$/month?

When I do that I'll have to switch to another subscription because of the internet I didn't have before and is required with the phone I want (HTC Desire HD). I'm finally facing 2 offers and I just can't decide what to do. Offer 1 Free calls inside the same network (Mobile&Fixed) $0.90/h for other networks 100 free text messages, $0.15/txt after that 100MB data volume per month, $0.10/MB when used, up to 5$/day +some other features that are either the same or not important Monthly Subscription Fee: 29$ Offer 2 Free calls inside the same network (Mobile&Fixed) $0.70/h for other networks 250 free text messages, $0.15/txt after that 500MB data volume per month, $0.10/MB when used +some other features.. Monthly Subscription Fee: 45$ The only reason that I can't decide is the Internet. I hardly used it with my old phone because it was really terrible for surfing. The new one should be pretty good for it and I'd like to use it a bit too, I'm not a fb or twitter junkie though. However from what I've read 100MB are used really fast only by surfing websites containing pictures and that a 5min. video on YT can be veeeery large and use a huge part of that volume. I think live streams eat a lot of it too. So what I'm asking you is, do you think I should pay those 15$/month more for 400MB additional data volume? I'm still planning to use the internet mainly at home from my notebook but as example when I'm away from home for a couple days I'd still like to check mails and TL and maybe check out a new vid.

Scorch Austria3371 Posts February 10 2011 17:26 GMT #2 Holy shit, those are some sick contracts. I knew Austria had cheap telephony, but the difference is astounding. I pay €0.04/min, €0.04/message, €4 per opened GB of traffic, and no monthly subscription fee. 100MB is nothing. If you do anything but check mails (without attachments) and Facebook once in a while, you quickly risk exceeding the limit. 500MB is much better and should allow you a bit of Youtube here and there. Streaming costs a lot of traffic, so you better be very careful with that.

FlopTurnReaver Switzerland1980 Posts February 11 2011 01:20 GMT #3 Hm that sounds really cheap, maybe I should come over there and buy something^^ It just kinda sucks because everything except the internet is very similar or I just don't really care and I'd have to pay 15$ just for that :/ And I better use the 500MB if I buy that one^^
