A Trance Song

Im still very new to making music so I would appreciate any criticism or feedback :D

After my last production i was looking to create something different. I decided I would go for a more trance sounding thing.

Once again I used a sample from starcraft2, its from the final cinematic.

Anyways, i hope you like it!

hah, very nice, I like it.

I listen to Trance mostly, on www.di.fm, but I'm not an expert on how it's supposed to sound. Is there a specific track format for Trance tunes? I'm not sure.

Seems pretty good though, would be nice if it was longer and maybe more of a buildup/peak. SC2 Sample was pretty sweet, goes well with the name of the song.

But anyway, hehe, I'm not sure. Pretty good though, nice job.

Awesome song, great work, I'm an avid trance lover, this is exactly the type of music I want to listen to while playing SC2, You should compile a list of your work so I can have a good playlist of epic User songs while I play SC2 on my stream.

Definitely sounds a little compressed, you could do a lot more with the dynamics because otherwise all of your nice layering just sounds virtually the same =/

hey man, I really liked some of it but I felt that it just ended abruptly. I loved the beat at the end and thought instead of ending it transition into a driving bass beat would have been awesome. Just my two cents.

Also, what are you using to create it?

Sounds more like Techno than Trance. Almost Hardstyle Techno. And as such, you did a good job. But this isn't Trance.

Lots of "avid trance listeners" in here that cant tell what they're listening to :|

Thanks for the feedback all. I wasnt sure if it was trance or not, i just new it didnt sound as hard as my previous track XD. I used fruityloops to make it for those who were asking.

Sounds like techno. The idea is great but just work on the mastering :D

What program do you use? If you work with fl, I might be able to give a bit more help.
