EPTPretty much I need suggestions since I plan to use this not only to improve my piano skills and play portably, but also I want to use it to make music using digital audio workstations and whatnot.

I play keyboard, and I play a nord electro 2. It's a nice keyboard, but it really excels in Rhodes and Hammond B-3 patches, and not so much in piano. This means its good for rock and funk, or gospel type music. But it doesn't have weighted keys, so it's not the best for playing straight up piano. I love the keyboard, but it's probably not what you're looking for.. Also, might be hard to find one for $500 | ||
