use your default screen resolution and memorize the sensitivity settings you're used to, then it should be the same on every computer i think?

Well normally it would but I have an elbow support at home so whenever I go to any PC Bangs or other places with a computer, the settings do not match to what I play.
So in short, I need to calibrate a new setting for non home usage but whenever I try to think right now, it all just bunches up and confuses my darn head. So, I'm asking for your help and experience regarding this. God I'm so confused.

Try to simulate at home the exact settings you expect the competition to have. You could even call the tournament hosts and ask them things like "How much room is there between the keyboard and the edge of the desk?" "How high is the top of the desk from the floor?" Or any similar questions. Get them to measure this stuff for you, then take the measurements and apply them to your home environment. This way at least you'll know what to expect in terms of body/arms positioning/angles. From there, your calibration settings should probably be the same or very similar. Given 15 minutes you should be able to tweak it from what you started with after your home investigations.

Now I'm a bit confused. Let me get this straight, you're saying that at a LAN we're not allowed to install drivers into the computers right? To what I know, some mice without drivers = default settings, some don't cause they have memory. So, your point is regarding this issue, right?
I've read the rules the organizers provided, they allowed installing drivers and such. So that shouldn't be a problem. Let me think for a second.
I think the problem I'm having here is the elbow support. It changes my movement speeds and so on to off sync. Now I think I will try to think of a solution but I hardly doubt I will get a working solution on my own. Please keep posting whatever you know, thanks.

If places you play at don't have elbow supports, you should practice without elbow support. And 5600 DPI? That's insane!
Regardless, you could write up a batch script to automate all the changes and just run it on a computer before you play. You should be able to get all your settings done in about 1 second that way.

where is the tournament?
I'm from Malaysia as well but in UK now. How big is Malaysia SC2 scene?

If I had to guess...I'd say it's approximately the size of Marksman. But I could be wrong.

Well epix31 and tofucake, it's not big but we're trying to grow lol. We have a couple of tournaments so far. Vista Lasik previously for 1v1s and then the upcoming Vista Cataracts for 2v2. Then we had Intel Extreme Masters and now an upcoming tournament at Blitzone (The name of the Internet cafe). This one isn't very big on the prizes but its free on entry lol.
Anyway, yes I play at 5600 DPI, Windows mouse 3 and the elbow support makes a big difference. I'll try to code a simple .bat script and I'll try to get the organizers to do that, shell. Thanks.
