Some people just love to live on the edge, it´s sad but I guess living in fear is even worse.

RIP to the patient. May his death be a lesson to others. I guess it's a good thing you posted it here, more people will learn, hopefully.

I never understood and never will understand why people are so reckless and sometimes brainless if they move a car. Why in gods name would you endanger yourself, the ones you hold dear or random others just for the cause of a temporary comfort? Most of the time this happens it wasn't even important to receive the call or text someone. And the first thing you learn at driving school is that under no circumstance you shall drive when you're distracted, under the influence of drugs (yes, alcohol is a drug too) or in a deeply emotional state. "Errare humanum est, sed in errare perseverare diabolicum." Which means: "to err is human but to insist on error is diabolic" In this case it means that everyone can do a mistake in his life since it's a human characteristic but since you KNOW the chance that something like mentioned by the OP can happen you insist on the error which makes it an evil "diabolic" act. Think about what you do and why you do something. Don't be a brainless user of modern achievements. Just be ... RESPONSIBLE. cheers

I think that texting while driving requires like 1000X more multitasking ability than just straight up talking on the phone. Many times, you are looking down while texting, while you can keep ur eyes on the road if ur talking. Also, the victim was riding a motorcycle, and he was hit by a guy texting? or was he himself texting? The post isnt very clear on that. Regardless, texting while driving is one of the stupidest ways to die. RIP

Uh I think you missed the part were the jackass driving the vehicle hit the guy and killed him and them took off. I'm assuming here that the cyclist want the one texting. I hate accident calls so much, especially fatality ones. 95% of the time the accident was entirely avoidable if someone had just paid some attention.
