WAODIJAWDOIJAWD god I'm so pissed off. I know I shouldn't get angry over Battle.net retards, especially when I was playing on US East, but I am. I was playing a game of Phantom BGH, and they were arguing the merits of the extractor trick. Some guy said that extractor trick was free. I was quick to point out that he was wrong. However, EVERY fucking other player (there were seven total) agreed with his side. I can understand when one person is wrong and acts like a stubborn moron; not so much 6 people don't know a commonly known fact.
Later, I got killed because they thought I was the phantom. I wasn't. Apparently good macro gets you killed in this game, especially when you play with Battle.net kids.

I know I really shouldn't get angry at battlenet morons, but every time I want to play some UMS for fun I end up raging. Any advice?

A relaxing bubble bath with your favorite rubber ducky and some Celine Dion playing in the background.

reminds me of how back when I used to play on west rather than iccup, people just DID NOT GET that extra high latency is a bad thing, especially in bgh games. I would patiently explain it and all they would do is mock me and refuse to understand and keep setting it to extra high. arghhghgh

Get some bubble wrap. Sit down and pop the bubbles.

hahah yes, good macro *does* get you killed in phantom

I find it really sad when you can out macro a phantom :/ I find its more fun to play East with a group of friends though so you have at least some support when you face retards who don't know what latency is.

That's probably what I'm going to try to do from now on.
lol, Don't you love the "hey (insert color here), u forgot to turn on extra high lat"?
On bnet, phantoms are usually retarded and actually try to play "psychological warfare" rather than go all-out rush. Although this almost never works and usually gets the phantom pounded; in this particular game I hit max as zerg with guardian/muta/devo around the 11 minute mark.

Hey man i was playing Phantom on east the other day. He said SC2 was a lot harder than SC1 and it took skills. i check his stats and i find out his stats are 620-620-65 or something like that (ID is Tinkles i think). So hes korean and speaks fluent Konglish. was so fast i didnt even understand it. so he kills me first cuz hes raging cuz i said SC2 is easier than SC1. Then after the game, i said he was pretty good and asked if he visited TL. He said TL was an European site and call me a noob so i ask him "are you from GosuGamers?" he ignores me...

Good macro can get you killed, but you can sometimes actually win vs 4+1phantom if you play well enough. Good times. Although ppl call you hacker after that.

yeah...my opinion is just let ignorance be bliss. You don't want to argue with these kinds of guys over SC strategy just because you'll end up being infuriated (happened to me a lot of times too =\). Just let them babble on about their nonsense.

Was a pretty bad moment to say the least.
@OP: What I do is only play games when you have at least one friend (preferably more) with you. That way you can joke around at how dumb the other people are among your selves, and have back-up in case stuff happens.

if you're getting so mad to the point where u have write a blog and ask for advice over a bnet UMS loss, then i suggest you should just quit sc all together

I'm just asking for coping mechanisms when you get really angry after a game.

If you get good at this and the extra high equivalent you can quickly switch between the two in ZvZ when you send scourges into his muta :D Anything goes on b.net!

don't play those maps if they frustrate you, or try to play for fun, not to just win. I win less than half my risk games, but I love those.
