So far i've narrowed it down to these: HTC EVO (omg sex) - 200$ + extra 10$ for 4g service I DONT FUCKING GET Blackberry 9650 Bold (powerful and practical)- 200 HTC Hero (wishes it was the evo) - 70
EVO - I played around with the EVO and LOVE it, however it is expensive and i will be covering the extra 10$ a month for my dad so it comes out to 200 + 240(over 2 years) for a service i won't even have for like 6 months (bullshit i kno right) but the phone is fucking awesome...so fast, feature packed, first touch screen i've used comfortable with my giant bear paws. Bold - Didn't use it, but my dad has a similar and its a blackberry, can't really go wrong with it. Same base price as EVO, but comes with a ton of features, pretty much everything i want except no touch screen, and obv much smaller screen than the massive 4.3 on the evo for web stuffs. I like tactile keyboard though Hero - Good for what it was, not as fast as the EVO and the smaller size makes it harder for me to use the touch keyboard, also a dickton cheaper but i have decent cash flow right now and don't really want to commit to something if i'm gonna regret it in 6 months for the remaining 18.
So... anyone have any expereience with these phones/recommendations/etc?

If you have the cash, i would NOT get the HTC Hero. I find it SO laggy to the point where it pains me to use it. I'd definitely go for the EVO or the Blackberry.

Out of curiosity... is your Sprint contract up? Do you have to go with Sprint?

looks like you're down to the evo and the bold lol for me, i would get the bold based on your descriptions, just because i dont like paying that extra cash when i can buy other cool shit and food with it. or save it lol.

Bold is an old phone, you should be able to get one for cheap as hell, what price plan are you on? Also, are you in a family plan and upgrading? It always cheaper (by a shit load) to start a new account.

If you really are stuck with Sprint then in my opinions there really is no choice other than the Evo, even without the 4G it's still a nice phone. Just be prepared to charge it frequently
As others have said, if you aren't locked to Sprint then there are better options out there (Incredible, Nexus One, iPhone)

I love my BB Bold 9700, and the 9650 isn't very different. Personally, I'd say go for it and you won't be disappointed, but I don't know how it stacks up against the others. I just know it's definitely not an unpleasant experience and well worth the cash to throw down. Plus, like CM said, it should be relatively cheap - always nice.

Evo is great, you don't need the 4G as it supports 3G as well.

Evo is best phone for sprint right now. I like tha blackberry too, but trust me don't get the hero.
