I did a little research, it seems like the 128GB drive may be a 2GB or 4GB chip that displays 128GB, so when you write more than say 4GB on it, it disappears... I assume most people don't notice until it's too late. | ||

They use the low capacity/defective flash chips that get caught by quality control (if they have any) and add in a special chip to display it as 128 or something. But it will still act as a low quality low capacity flash drive just fine. You might even fit starcraft on it. | ||

This is a classic and often used Ebay scam! What the seller will do is buy a tiny little USB key and format it to appear to the computer as 128gb, you will plug it in and it will look legit, but of course if you actually try to copy large files it will fuck up and not work. VERRRRRY common scam! never buy too good o be true ebay deals from people with 0 feedback. What kind of things did you buy? Were they auctions or buy it now items? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Craigslist has kind of overtaken ebay for the last several years in terms of finding bargains. | ||
