But let's start with a introduction, Nikcing Buffy, yay vampire slayer. Sadly enough, no : /
But I've got my background in gaming pretty much since I got my first computer/super nintendo, Super StarFox was the shit !
But over the years I started playing more and more. My first game I started trying to become good in was actually starcraft 1. Played a fair bit of it when I was 13-15 years old, but sucked to much ass so I went for the FPS Counter Strike instead, which I also sucked ass in. But hey, head shots are always fun so why not ?
After some time Wc3 Reign of Chaos released and I was blown away by how fun it was, and was the best player around except for my best friend who also played it a lot so it became kind of a rivalry thing there and both played like hell for some years.
Yay, fun times
After my friend moved away and I no longer had that driving force to play, since it was no fun spamming games after a while I looked to another genre of games since the friends I had played World of Warcraft. Seemingly boring slow game with no multi tasking aspect and no way to prove yourself, lets say I was reserved about this genre.
Started playing it and my lord I got sucked in, played it for a long 4 years and did all the "good" stuff PvP and pve and levled alts etc. But this game has become dull stale after all these years, and now I was looking for a more RTS style of game.
Went back to good old wc3 for a while again, but just felt it was not as fun as my memories had shown me. So starcraft brood war seemed fun. Great community skillfull game and best of all, havent played it so gave it a go.
And did I suck hard ? Had no idea for the first 50 games what I was doing, looked over to ICCUP for some info / tips and got some and started playing there.
This seems accurate how bad I was :D
And when I started playing on their network, I realized that I really really really sucked. Got my ass handed to me every game, by everyone. But still it was fun, even got a random C+ protoss to help me watched a replay with me and gave me tips and played some games, really nice dude.
And when they announced Starcraft 2 I shit my pants, great game on the way !
And when the beta came I wished so bad for a key, but didn't get one. But as they started handing out keys with pre order I sold my wow account, locked the door, and here I am now, trying to get good at a fun game and trying to get to know the community and all there is to now related anyway to the starcraft scene really.
And hell after all this writting I can already start the "newbie on the way" concept and upload a replay if anyone wanna see, [url blocked]
It's a ZVZ on Blistering Sands, and I won, I dont know didn't watch the replay really, so I probably did a lot of mistakes, though I think I did the major things right except for scouting, but went for "faster" mutas and won the game by that. Lucky I got a win today, had like the worst win/loss ratio today so, feelt really good after that game, Btw if your still reading I'm in Platinum atm, was in daimond prepatch, and was in platinum before "daimond" !
