iPod Help Please!

I loaded my iPod on to my laptop, and all of a sudden theres nothing on it. No folders, no nothing. Now my itunes won't recognize it. How can I fix this? I've tried formatting but it's just not working

foobar gives me this "error reading itunesDB, access denied.

I have NOTHING on my iPod. It cannot be synced. It's basically a external harddrive right now.

you've formatted it and are wondering why there's nothing on it?

Anyways, It's not detecting it at all in itunes? But your computer is finding it correct? Try downloading the ipod update and putting it on manual.

No, usually formatting it would just make it load in iTunes and be restorable. :S

It's not working. I have no idea how to manually update an iPod when it doesn't show up in iTunes. It shows up in My Computer as a removable disk, but shows the ipod animation. But nothings on it, and without iTunes accessing it, it won't work at all. T_T.

Anyone have any ideas?
