Um... If you're pissed off about this, then I think you care too much. Yeah it's a small thing...but it barely even makes sense! She said don't assume? Assume what? When the scores come in? If you were wrong, then she should just live with it, unless she needs them by a deadline and you're just getting her hopes up, but she sounds rather uptight, which could be stress or personality.
