Did anyone else find that the 1.24e patch is quite strange? Let me give you an example.
Yesterday I tried playing dota on Hamachi with my friend, we were both at 1.24e. When I make a game, he sees it but he can't join (unable to join game). When he makes a game, I can't see it at all. Our firewalls are off, we can ping each other, everything should be working basically. So I go on my other comp running 1.24d and strangely enough, this computer can see the 1.24e game. So I downgraded to 1.24d and all of a sudden I can join his game, wtf? Anyway we just play and when we re, I can't see his game again so I upgrade back to 1.24e and then it suddenly works! WTF THIS DEFIES ALL LOGIC LOL
Then today I tried playing with both players on 1.24e, same thing happened (i couldn't see his game, he could see mine but couldn't join). Basically I can only play LAN if only one person 1.24e (no idea what happened yesterday). Anybody else get this kind of error?

I wouldn't say it is the patch but Hamachi imo.. I've had trouble with hamachi since day 1 when I used to use it for starcraft. Ended up having to downgrade to an earlier version for it to even work.

btw here is the changelog for the patch
- Fixed an exploit rendering buildings non-interactable ("tower hack").
- Fixed an exploit allowing a player to bypass a summon ability's cooldown ("summon/cooldown hack").
- Fixed a client crash related to workers failing to build in an unintended way ("new crash hack").
- Fixed an exploit allowing the Blood Mages's Phoenix to be resurrected instantly ("phoenix hack").
- Fixed a bug allowing players to select an invalid matchmaking race resulting in all the player's units and buildings becoming sheep ("sheep hack").
maybe blizzard accidentally fucked up LAN while they were fixing some hacks =/

i know it's not a hamachi error because it used to work perfectly prior to this patch 
btw in all situations above everyone was using 1.0.1.5.

try using garena (i know this isn't related to your problem, but it's an awesome program)

its the weirdest thing, one time when i was playing starcraft on 1.15.2, i got on fish server when the current patch was 1.16.1 and i could actually play on their games. this normally shouldn't happen, but since fish server is a custom server, it can run it (even LAN won't allow 1.15.2 to play with 1.16, but 1.15.2 can play with 1.15.3, i think its the second number)
so i used to have hacks for 1.15.2, because that was the patch version of the portable SC i used to LAN with with my friends (still same patch) and i wanted to do funny things like nuke hack. anyways so i could actually hack on that server because my hacks were for my patch, even though it conflicted with the others' patches

Kinda OT but,
I remember like 5 years ago my friends and I were taking turns playing wc3 (maybe TFT) and my friend was 'Orc', but when the AMM came up it said his race was 'Troll'. We were confused and laughing too much to take a screenshot. Anyone else ever have something like that happen?

ya garena is superior to hamachi and popular among wc3 players.

1.24e fucked over more people than usual...most of garena was in an uproar over it

Not sure if this is supposed to be clever, but this actually would happen alot from time to time. nightelf would display as high elf and such.
