About 3.5 years ago I memorized 2 SC cd keys that work and my diablo 2 cd key (this one has numbers and letters in it). The D2 cd key is 16 characters long. The SC keys are 13 characters long. To this day, I have not forgot all 3 keys and can recite them very rapidly without even thinking.

How many of you have memorized your SC (or any other game) key(s)?

I was gonna criticize you for this post but then I realized I strangely have mine memorized also even though I haven't thought about it since I registered for my road test like 8 years ago.

I memorized my CD key when I tossed out my SC CD case because it was broken back in 2000. Now, whenever I need to install SC onto a computer, I just use my key.

It's not important to me either, and I would rather free up the space in my brain. But it's just ingrained in there somehow. The d2 key isn't even useful at all seeing as I've only played it for like 3 months and then never touched it again.

I didn't memorize it on purpose, but after typing it in so many times, I remember it.

I memorized the CD key that I randomly typed out when I couldn't find my broodwar box anymore. Funny enough, the same random key works in Diablo 2.

I saved it on gmail as a draft of an email. I just put all my cd keys and stuff there so that I won't have to look for the case every time I need to install the game again.

i used to use my d2 cdkey as my d2 account passwords (back when hackings and etc. were rampant), so i had that memorized :D good chain of random numbers/letters for simple security purposes, from a source that no one online could ever get their hands on, but was written down irl for me, kept in a safe place.

Never memorized, or tried to. I did memorize my library card number though, except I have a good reason for that. I always went to the library after school (shuttle bus), and me and my friends all memorized our library card numbers so we could use the computers for an hour or so until our parents picked us up.

I have my library card number memorized too even though I rarely use it. I also have my college campus id card numbers memorized too even though I already graduated. I have my high school id number memorized too..weird. Guess I just retain numbers or something, eh.

Memorized since -99. Also memorized the second CD key I got when I bought the expansion.
Also memorized two Diablo 2 keys and one Lord of Destruction key.
And a Half Life key.
And our first dial-up password.

For some reason, random numbers (and letters) stick almost immediately for me.

Mine is memorized since 1995.

I still have my Waldbaum's Supermarket number memorized somehow LOL.

42849219042. Once every two years or so I go into a Waldbaum's and when they ask if I have a valued shopper card I tell them 'get ready' hahaha

Hm. I wonder how many people, seeing that they've memorized theirs for so long, use it as passwords for teamliquid.

I have required my CD key to use the Battle.net forums so many times that I have it well memorised by now and no longer have to check the case for it.

EDIT: The irony is that I generally do not have a good memory. I frequently forget important dates and even names of people, so it boggles the mind why I would remember a CD key. o.O

I used to have one memorized back in like 2002, because I was constantly installing it all over the place.

Also, I keep a txt file with all my cd keys and friends cd keys for tons of games. I email it to my friends so if any of us needs a key or needs to borrow one we got em.
..and then I would, ya know, check em'. (Aka SpoR)
