Alot of what people think about Neanderthals is shaped by the early interpretation as basic dumb fucks, to quote one archaeologist, if you put a Neanderthals in human clothes and in the subway, they would be difficult to distinguish between them and modern humans. | ||

The Neanderthal's vocal chords were incapable of making noises like "ooh" and "ahh" that you hear in every tv/movie representation of them. Also apparently archeologists are very divided on whether or not a Cro-magnon/Neanderthal hybrid would be possible. | ||
