[SSL] Ro16 Interviews

Interviewer: Hi Larva! You made it to ro8. How do you feel?
Larva: At first I was kind of disappointed my first match was a ZvZ but I feel great having made it into ro8!

Interviewer: You came dressed very formally. It looks good on you!
Larva: TEEEEEHEEEEE

Interviewer: There was a look of disappointment on your face because of the regame. What are your thoughts on that?
Larva: When the decision for the re-game was issued… I was about to just get up and go home. Then, I saw Sonic’s face and decided I would continue playing. I ended up advancing!

Interviewer: And as a result you ended up winning. On the game where you went for a zergling rush and failed what was going through your mind?
Larva: Well, I was actually in the mindset to just give up a game and set the score even to 1-1.

Interviewer: Well you’re in the ro8. Are there any players you wish to avoid or those who you’d definitely like to play against?
Larva: Well I definitely want to avoid Hiya and I would actually like a game with Mong.

Interviewer: Hahaha Mong is actually in the audience right now. He probably heard you. So, you’re in the ro8 now, how far do you want to get?
Larva: First off I’d like to at least get to 3rd place for the prize money so that I can save some and invest some (back into the league?).

Interviewer: This is your first time visiting our SinbalFarm (신발팜) office, what are your thoughts on how we’ve set up?
Larva: I came here at 4pm when you guys were still getting ready. I think you guys have really worked hard and put a lot of effort into setting up so I can’t say anything bad. I’d like to really thank the staff members. Thank You!

Interviewer: Thank you for this brief moment for our interview. I look forward to seeing you in the ro8!

Interviewer: Congratulations on making it to ro8!
Sonic: Put the mic volume up slightly please.
Pusan: I tried my hardest and advanced so I’m very glad. I’ll give it my all in the ro8 too.

Interviewer: You’ve made it into the ro8 by winning the final match. You must be very tired.
Pusan: I want to go home soon and sleep.

Interviewer: Still you won so you must feel good! A lot of different Afreeca Starcraft BJ’s are watching in the audience, who would you like to face in the ro8?
Pusan: My best matchup is against Terran so I would definitely like to meet a Terran player in the ro8. In the ro8, the games are going to be 1v1 so I feel more confident in winning hahahahaha.

Interviewer: (Interviewer stutters a bit and laughs) Sorry, I’m a bit nervous right now (probably because of Pusan incredible aura of MANLINESS), this is the first time having an offline starleague here at the SinbalFarm office. What did you think of it?
Pusan: Well… It was refreshing(?) you know as a BJ, but I felt a bit lacking in stamina since I’m quite old. The other BJ’s are in their late teens/early 20s but I’m almost 30 haha.

Interviewer: You look incredibly young for your age! You’re very good looking.
Pusan: Thank You~

Interviewer: We hope to see a lot more exciting games from you in the ro8. Thank you for coming! Congratulation!

Interviewer: Hello Perfectman. You’ve made it into the ro8. How do you feel?
Perfectman: It was a long ways to get here (to Seoul) but luckily I won so I feel great.

Interviewer: From what I saw, you seemed very calm and confident in your play. Were there any parts in the game where you felt in danger of losing? Any parts where you were sure of victory?
Perfectman: I thought the scout had missed the (Citadel of) Adun, but the SCV had scouted it. Luckily, I was able to gain the advantage and won.

Interviewer: So you’ve made it into the ro8, Are there any players you wish to avoid or those who you would like to play against?
Perfectman: I think everyone besides Killer I would like a game with.

Interviewer: What are your goals for this Starleague?
Perfectman: Of course I want to get 1st place. I want to win the prize money.

Interviewer: Seeing you in person, I think you’re really good looking (She’s said this in all the interview except Larva’s), real cute and well mannered! This is your first time here at the SinbalFarm office. What do you about what we’ve done so far?
Perfectman: I’ve seen Sonic’s stream quite a bit on Afreeca and I really didn’t think much of Sonic. I didn’t know he was such a successful CEO. He turned out to be a lot more awesome than I had originally thought.

Interviewer: Thank you so much for this interview. Congratulations on making it to the ro8!

Interviewer: Congratulations on making it to ro8, Mong! You’ve advanced but the viewers and I can’t help but notice your level of play today wasn’t as good as it usually is. Is your condition not so good today?
Mong: My condition is fine. It’s just that one and a half years has passed since I’ve had a public game with a viewing audience. I was a bit nervous and my play felt a bit shaky.

Interviewer: You were here at our SInbalFarm office very late last night and you seemed very tired. We were worried but you still advanced to the ro8!
Mong: Lately, every tournament I’ve been struggling to go up the bracket but still today I advanced so I think I can go home happy.

Interviewer: Seeing you in person (as opposed to online on his afreeca stream), you are much better looking in person! Truthfully, between you and Sonic who do you think is better looking?
Mong: (Mong got a little bit pissed off here ) Sonic told me it’s not the cam that makes people think he’s better looking (than I am) so I really looked forward to coming to offline so people could compare. Truthfully, Sonic is VERY UGLY. I’m not even kidding right now, yesterday (at the offline) I asked Sonic if we could compare our faces side by side so the viewers could decide who is better looking. Sonic ended his stream very quickly. I wish you guys would stop comparing our faces…


Interviewer: Haha I understand. Mong you didn’t do any kind of ceremony after your victory. Could you maybe show us that famous Tektonik dance of yours?
Mong:

Interviewer: Congratulations on making it to ro8! We look forward to seeing many more awesome games from you!

Interviewer: Killer congrats on making it to ro8! How do you feel?
Killer: First off, after looking at the list of matches, I noticed Hiya was my first opponent. I thought if I lost the first match it would be kind of difficult for me but I owned Hiya which put me in a favorable position to advance.

Interviewer: Would it be possible to express your feelings right now... with a gesture?
Killer:

Interviewer: Is there any players you would like to face in the ro8?
Killer: I'd like to play against Pusan.

Interviewer: May I ask why?
Killer: Because I think I can win.

Interviewer: The Afreeca viewers are very curious about your height. Between you and Sonic, who do you think is taller?
Killer: It's nice that I have an afreeca following.. but I can't believe I'm being compared to Sonic. Not just height, someone was comparing faces? I saw sonic pass by as I was sitting here.. he looked around 160cm.. Is he even 160cm? (Note: Killer is listed as being 165cm tall on naver.com)

Interviewer: We're there any moments during the matches today that were kind of regretful?
Killer: I lost on Electric Circuit. I think I should tighten up my play on that map. Other than that there's nothing else that was regretful.

Interviewer: This is the first time for us hosting an offline tournament. What did you think of it?
Killer: This is my first time coming to an offline tournament (hosted by Sonic), I'm glad I won and I plan to play even better at the next offline event.

Interviewer: Thank you for your time! Congratulations!

Interviewer: Congratulations on making it to ro8, Hiya! How do you feel?
Hiya: First off advancing into ro8... Do I speak to you or to the camera?

Interviewer: You can speak towards the camera.
Hiya: Well first off I advanced.. I watched the offline games yesterday and saw that the SinbalFarm employees looked extremely tired (after that incredibly long 3 set TvT from Mong vs Shinee). I had planned to finish the TvT match as fast as possible and I did it successfully. I'm glad I got to advance easily.

Interviewer: Could you also maybe express your feelings with a gesture of some sort?
Hiya: I've been hanging out with Mong pretty often and I've started learning the Mongtektonik. I'm not that good at it yet *demonstrates a little bit*. I was originally going to do a ceremony like I did in OSL. In those days though, I wasn't sure when I would lose and drop out of the bracket so I did a ceremony whenever possible. Here (in the SSL) I feel more confident in winning so I plan to do ceremonies starting ro8.

Interviewer: During the game were there any time where you felt in danger of losing or felt your play didn't work out as you wanted?
Hiya: During the game vs Hint, there were many times where I thought I would lose. But, I played with the mindset that if I chose safe, simple builds I would be able to win.

Interviewer: Can I ask you who you'd like to face in the ro8?
Hiya: I'd like a match against Larva.

Interviewer: And may i ask why?
Hiya: I think Larva is one of the best players.

Interviewer: Ahh I see so you'd like to play against Larva?
Hiya: Well to be honest I think I can take on just about anyone in the ro8.

Interviewer: Wow you seem very confident in your self. What do you think is your goal for this Starleague?
Hiya: My goal is definitely to win. I've been practicing a lot and I stream on Afreeca very often too. I'd like to practice even more and win this Starleague.

Interviewer: Also, the viewers would often times compare your face to Sonic's (to see whos better looking). Between the two of you, who do you think is better off?
Hiya: I don't think it's even worth it to compare us--

*While Hiya is talking he gets cut off and there's an issue with the camera. Apparently, Sky went out and got coffee for everyone but accidentally stepped on an important cord and it got disconnected. Managers on the chat all jokingly say "Sky did that on purpose" and sonic towards the ends says that the cord has been severed and the interview just ends there..*

Interviewer: Hey Sky! You've made it into ro8. How do you feel?
Sky: I'm happy I advanced but kind of disappointed that I was a bit sloppy.

Interviewer: Is there any player you'd like to face in the ro8?
Sky: Players I want to face? Larva! I want to play against Larva.

Interviewer: It seems during todays games there were times where you seem unsatisfied in your play.
Sky: All the games I lost were unsatisfying.

Interviewer: So *then sky says "You're good at interviewing"* You keep preventing me from making progress in this interview..! Sky, What is this?! *Holds up the instant rice*

Sky: I was originally going to do a more positive ceremony, but I don't really have any special talents so I couldn't do it.

Interviewer: It seems like you weren't able to do a proper ceremony, Sky. Before we end this interview I'd like for you to express your emotions with a gesture.
Sky: No no no no no no no no no no no no no!

Interviewer: You can do it~!
Sky No no no I can't do it! Different question different questionnnn!

Interviewer: What do you mean "different question?!"
Sky: Different question!!

Interviewer: Hi Cola! (She almost said Ample's name on accident ) You made it to ro8. Congratulations! How do you feel?
Cola: Originally, my schedule conflicted with this match (due to a test being scheduled on the original date). But luckily, the schedule changes accomodated for me allowing me this opportunity to make it to the ro8. I'm very happy i advanced.

Interviewer: Is there anyone you want to play against in the ro8?
Cola: In the ro8? I want to play the person who's sitting over there (in the broadcasting studio), Mong.

Interviewer: We hope to see more exciting games at the ro8. Right now, outside in the audience, there seem to be a lot of your fans and friends cheering for you! Could you give a shout out for those who came to cheer you on?
Cola: Two of my friends came to cheer me on. (Speaking to his friends) Thanks for watching till the end guys! (Back to interviewer) I'm happy I was able to win.

Interviewer: I think there's one other person you should be acknowledging in the audience. You're father is here! Anything you'd like to say to your dad?
Cola: At first, I really didn't want my dad to come. Everyone else's dad didn't come and stuff. But, he came along and watched me play and I'm actually very thankful for his support and encouragement.

Interviewer: Well you advanced so I'm sure your dad is proud of you! I noticed you didn't do a ceremony today! Could you do some kind of ceremony for the camera?
Cola: Ceremony?

Interviewer Yes.
Cola: I didn't prepare one.
