SC2 WCS South America Finals
14th - 15th of July 2012
The 2012 StarCraft II World Championship Series: South America Finals will be the first of the Continental stops of the 2012 StarCraft II World Championship Series and will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from July the 14th to 15th, 2012. It will feature 16 players with a prize pool of around $30,000 and seeds to the 2012 Battle.net World Championship later this year.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place will qualify onward aside from Prize pool to participate in the Battle.net World Championship.
Prize Pool Breakdown:
$30,000 TOTAL
1st Place - 12,000 US-Dollar
2nd Place - 6,000 US-Dollar
3rd Place - 2,700 US-Dollar
4th Place - 1,500 US-Dollar
5th-8th Place - 900 US-Dollar
9th-16th Place - 600 US-Dollar

The event is going to take place in the biggest city of Brazil and Latin America and major city for business and events with more than 11.000.000 citizens. Anhembi Complex Center, the venue of the South America Finals, is well known from the Campus Parties as well as the recent Intel Extreme Masters event. There will be place for up to 1,500 StarCraft II fans to watch the event live on site.
