I wonder why Sniper didn't go for ling-hydra-aggression with the new buffed hydras. Did he scout the quick third and stargates too late to do that on cross position Frost?

Only thing I could assume would be some kind of crazy mindgame:
Sniper maybe thought that HerOs stargate were only a reaction to his spire and that he never wanted to go beyond 3-5 phoenixes. He possibly anticipated a big warpgate allin on 3 bases which would be the only reason to go for 3 base swarmhosts on cross position and completely neglect any form of anti air.
