To me its only normal for FXO to get rid of this money vacuum, that's what i would have done also. The basic idea was pretty good,an FXO team for each region was pretty cool ; too bad it didn't really show results for the NA scene. Don't get me wrong, all of these players are obviously good but maybe they don't quite belong in FXO but in lesser known teams (Neeb being an exeption i guess). GL to them in the future ! it wasnt a money vacuum as none of the players were getting paid. fxo na was barely even a thing. the management expect that by giving some unknowns a clan tag they would suddenly become better players, didnt happen.

As a manager myself and someone that follows the scene, it is without a doubt in my mind that FXO NA was one of the premiere teams in the region. Ever since their inception, they set high standards in terms of player skill, and just as importantly, being well mannered and well run. It was an honor to play against them and to get to know their players and management.

There was no announcement thread, the NA team leagues, with prize pools between $50-200, we played (and would win) aren't watched by more than 100-200 people, and the new website has been under construction for almost the entire FXO.NA existence; and the one hope we had as up and comers was creating content for FXO. If the content was good, then we'd have the FXO fan base to pull from. Sadly, nothing really gelled together. As strong as the organization is, in a game like Starcraft, teammates mean less. If FXO.NA wants FXO.KR replays to study and learn, who do you pull from, and who makes the decision? Does the manager just decide to ask 1 particular Korean player over another? No one obviously wants to share their replays, b/c this is an individual sport, and their play could potentially be studied by players not affiliated with the organization. Most of FXO.NA pro gamers were in school or college, making a 5 am practice session with FXO.KR players difficult to achieve, not to mention the latency issues that most experience. It all just struggled to merge together and made FXO.NA feel like an entirely different organization from FXO.KR, preventing that sense of influence you would expect from the "corporate office." Teammates began leaving which caused ripples which caused ripples which caused ripples. Until this end result was reached. Sad to see it go, still. Best of luck to all my teammates, keep in touch ^^
