The North American division of a forex trading company's venture into eSports has released three of its better known players. FXO.NA has been lauded for seeking to develop North American talent, with its biggest success story being Neeb, the 15 year old who managed to qualify for WCS America Premier League.
However, three of their more distinguished players have been released this past week.
The Canadian Terran, Drunkenboi, recently made a name for himself by qualifying into WCS America Challenger league, notably by defeating PiG and CatZ. He also made headway into Shoutcraft America defeating Goswser and teammate Neeb. EDIT: Drunkenboi himself asked to be released.
jEcho made his name whilst on Infinity Seven, placing third in the GeForce Amateur, defeating IefNaij and TriMaster, and losing to Hack by only one map. Unfortunately, it seems he is no longer very active.
JimRiSiNg is arguably the third best player from Mexico, having placed third in the WCS 2012 Mexico Nationals, and second in WCG Mexico, always losing out to Maker, another former FXO.NA player. JimRising moves to the well known Brood War clan, Team sMi.
FXO have also recently launched a new website. (third time's the charm?)

Seems interesting, maybe searching for new team. I remember Desrow saying on stream that FXO.NA didn't get a salary

I wonder if he has real life obligations getting in the way of SC2, would be a shame ;(

Hopefully drunkenboi finds a new team soon. I have a feeling he will get picked up by a major teams academy side or something
|
|
all great NA players, I have absolute confidence they will all find new teams soon if they haven't already.
|
Why Drunkenboi? The other two releases makes sense but Drunkenboi has been on a steady rise.
|
Ah, so Drunkenboi asked for the release. Well, that makes sense (compared to FXO releasing Drunkenboi on their own initiative).
|
They release then players people know of.... lol

Can fxo boss make a comment? o;
|
No idea.. I am not part of FXO anymore. haven't been since december 15th. I'd say at least in Dboi's case he got a better offer elsewhere and took it. Although how to measure the value at the moment is difficult, I can't blame him or FXO for what has happened. Seems reasonable over all. No drama.

He asked to be released/left FXO....while being on the team he still didn't get his gear (7 months)...such a shame to see this happen to him
