Anybody else a little uneasy about KeSPA's handling of this? With sc2 so far GOM hasn't always gotten it right, but it's been pretty open and accessible for all players.

But now we have KeSPA playing in the GSL, and the door has been opened for eSF players to join KeSPA teams. But where are the eSF teams in proleague? Why does it feel (at least to me) like GOM is being open with KeSPA, but KeSPA isn't exactly being open to GOM?

I understand they are competing, but it just seems to me like KeSPA's heavy handed style of handling everything is coming back. And as KeSPA continues to become more and more relevant I fear that it's going to spell bad news for the foreign community. Hope I'm wrong

Worst part is I find myself watching proleague more often then GSL lately. Even though I think GSL is better quality matches overall, I'm just more interested in the proleague teams. I don't really know why, I just find myself more interested in the teams and storylines of proleague...and I hate that I do. I think with GOM taking the risk establishing GSL and really helping get foreigners into it that I owe them some loyalty...I mean doesn't anybody remember how exciting it was when GSL was announced and everybody would be allowed to play in it, not just KeSPA licensed progamers?

So the trade embargo only works on players on teams? Leaving them bypasses that? Doesn't that seem a bit.....easy?

Only if they have their contracts expire. Parting's contract expired at the end of the year.
Also dislike that multiple bids results in a random drawing. It should go to whoever has the lowest ranking at the time of the 'draw' (so Samsung in this case).

Multiple bids leading to a random draw assumes that the bids are equal? Or that the minimum Parting would accept has already been decided on and he isn't allowed to be paid more?

I would have thought that Parting could say he wants a minimum amount of compensation, and then teams would be allowed to bid whatever they value him at in excess of the minimum. Highest bid wins and no random draw needed unless 2 bids are equal.
I might be the minority on TL, but TL is the minority everywhere else.

Even SKT used 'SKT1' as an abbreviation sometimes (the tag on their jersey says SKT1)

It still doesn't make sense though.

ESF players aren't in Proleague because they're in the GSTL. Just like Kespa players aren't in the GSTL because they're in Proleague.

You are kinda wrong in the comparison. You are comparing a solo league to a team league.
ESF players were in the previous OSL but no Kespa teams in GSTL.

They are just protecting their players. What would've happened if they allowed eSF teams in PL right away? How would the kespa teams be able to compete when they only just switched to sc2? I'm sure PL will be more open next season.
