No one has clearly thought this through. A partnership between teams? That means sponsorship money is going to blur team lines and the "shout out" section of SoTG is going to be insane if Incontrol is still on when he makes the move to korea.

Still pretty epic. Kinda knew it was coming. SlayerSJessica and Scoots have had meetings since the NASL finals. Soon as some big new announcment was released it seemed obvious but still epic. Hopefully IdrA becomes a monster in the SlayerS house as well as Ben, Huk and PuMa. Also helps slayers terrans a lot. I think IdrA and HuK are better players then most of their zergs and protoss'.

What are the terms for this? I remember some EG guys saying partnerships and stuff are kind of stupid in the past. I'm guessing there is something different about this?

I just watched the hype video, and I have got to say; whoever is in charge of the music selection for EG's videos needs to learn the definition of "too much".

lmao some of these complaints are hilarious. people are really complaining about the music selection now?
Its a video showing two powerhouse teams uniting - IMO epic music is mandatory. As both a fan of EG and slayers the music was part of the reasons why I got chills.

Especially game 3 with the gimmicky low gas marine style. Additionally did you even read the press release? The players permanently training at the SlayerS house are Huk(who is comperable to the best protoss in the SlayerS house, if not better), and PumA who has some of the best TvP in Korea. That wasn't "applying pressure"...that was "I'm an arrogant egomaniac who thinks I can beat any foreigner by just playing pure marine." It's around the same level of hubris as him going to the Red Bull LAN 2 days before his MVP match in the GSL Ro16, and still expecting to be able to compete on the same level with less-than-adequate preparation and jetlag. I agree with Babylon - Orlando was basically Dreamhack Summer all over again. I actually think Game 3 was less Bomber being arrogant and more of him loathing Metalopolis, but you get my point. (I also don't think he was overconfident going into his match with MVP; if anything, it seemed like he'd given up even before the match started. His no-pressure, just macro TvZ style though ... he needs to rethink that one, though the show he put on was certainly impressive in Games 1 and 2. I did like his turret rings, also, but now imagine if he did what MVP did and put on pressure ...) I'll never understand Bomber's brain. It's just too crazy in there.
the only game bomber didnt pressure was game 2 during which he took very little muta damage with awesome turrets and pushed out with an upgraded 200 supply army that idra couldnt deal with. game 1 he pressured often but idra handled it perfectly and was relentless with mutas. game 3 was cross pos metal which is probably the hardest tvz spawn in the map-pool and bomber was still able to pressure. late tanks is actually the current korean metagame and makes even more sense on cross metal where tanks cant really be used to pressure until late. bomber stayed on marines too long, but saying he was playing arrogant is just ignorant. his pressure was relentless and his macro was absolutely perfect.

Same here, as I like both EG and SlayerS the music was epic with the clips they were showing.

I think with this move EG has just pushed themselves to a whole new tier atop the foreign scene. If they are actually going to be in the slayer's house then this will be amazing for both idra and huk. You can say what you want about EG but they are doing everything in their power to be the most competitive international team. I'll be intersted to see if Mouz, Dignitas, and Liquid plan on sending any more players to Korea, because if they don't i think they will continue to drop further and further behind EG.
On another note i really think this helps slayers IMMENSELY in the team league if they can add Puma, Idra, and Huk to their team league roster it gives them soooo much depth. Especially in the later rounds of the playoffs I don't think anyone would have a deeper roster.

That was Alex Garfield talking about the oGs-SK deal where SK just sponsors MC and Nada outside of Korea. He doesn't like that kind of deal. This is just a practice partnership, allowing EG members to live in the SlayerS house. EG isn't sponsoring SlayerS guys. Much more like the oGs-TL set up.
