I've always felt pretty much the same as most everyone else description, the game truly does drain someone after a few matches, especially the ones that are losses lol. But time and practice will fix all of that just as with all things in life

I usually hit about 2-3 in a row then break for a bit. I play wow, read the forums, something OTHER than Starcraft for like about 30 minutes to an hour, then go back and hit the grind.

Helps keep me mentally fresh.

If you have a goal in mind, you should be able get past that hurdle. Pick a portrait and don't stop until you get it.

I kind of equate it to learning to drive. To begin with you have to concentrate on everything you do and nothing comes naturally and at the end of an hour you can be exhausted but gradually over time some of the things you do without ever thinking about them.

Day9 touched on this a bit with a recent daily when he says dont be afraid just play and think of how much harder it is for him knowing how well known he is.

since these kinds of threads popup almost daily, i have to say it might be worth it to buy 2 accounts, play one when you are mentally refreshed and want something focused, play the other one for fun and with off races where you don't care about your stats and what not.

Have a warm up routine, I promise you 100% it will help.
Experiment around to see what works for you.
you could for example...
-watch replays
-watch streams
-play campaign
-play against an ai
-play a team game
-think up a build order/strategy you want to try
-any combination of the above

I used to come home after school, microwave a chicken pot pie and watch replays until I finished my meal to get in the starcraft zone
