Might be that. Day9 being not busy for 8h is suspucious.
Yeah actually it sounds like it's an obvious product placement to support the stream. I don't see the links but he was just talking about it. I don't mind that at all. I'm assuming he was clear about it beforehand. I haven't been paying too close attention

I don't think it's exactly that, Sean went to school to learn what is essentially 'game design.' He also has a deep burning passion for video games. As someone at a similar emotional level I can say Sean is more likely just excited to see such great work, for him its not so much that Skyrim is a great game, its that Bethesda created such a great game and that they specifically should get credit.
If I was a popular gaming community figure, I would absolutely promote game companies that I find do amazing design work, this kind of attitude fits Sean especially I think.

Depends on context, could just mean that he's giving due credit to the developers of the game he's playing.
Yeah, people thank blizzard sometimes at the tournaments.
Someone in his chat said he must be getting rich from the 15k current viewers. To which inspired this response...
He's getting rich from being awesome and making lonely nerds, who spend way too much time behind a computer, get some much needed human interaction and inspiration to be as contagiously happy as Sean.... maybe just maybe helping them to be less awkward and giving them the confidence to be more social.
His are some serious words to live by, and my new favorite mantra:
Learn lots. Don't judge. Laugh for no reason. Be nice. Seek happiness.
I remember day9 saying that he very enjoyed Mass Effect 1 but never played Mass Effect 2, so I think he should do a Mass Effect 2 run like Amnesia and Skyrim!

He'd just spend 90% of the stream scanning planets.
