http://mashable.com/2017/02/09/nba-2k-eleague/?utm_cid=mash-com-Tw-main-link#w86tYnmZ9aqr Not sure of the details, but i don't think NBA2k has a high enough skill cap to really make it as an esport. If i'm not mistaken, The chance that a player makes or misses a shot is based on their real life stats. Meaning the GSW "pro" team is going to make easy money. They'll literally have a statistical Rpg like advantage. Mirror matches seem like the only way to see who are truly the better "mechanical" (does that word even apply to a game like this?) players. Cool that the NBA is doing this, but they feel like the adult who's trying to show how in touch they are with today's trends, and while doing so show how little they actually understand, about what made it cool in the first place.

i wonder if Parker was instituting the advice of his training staff and keeping the muscles around the knee strong. in watching the movement i'd say Parker's vastus medialis is weak. and that is the first muscle any physio or orthopod will tell you to keep really strong after a knee injury. my concern is that Parker did not heed the dire warnings of the training staff after his first tear. i wonder if he'll listen now? if he does not listen he'll tear it again. also, this is a 12 month tear not a 6 month tear. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18654095/jabari-parker-milwaukee-bucks-torn-acl-miss-12-months

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18659427/madison-square-garden-company-fires-security-chief initially, there were random reports Oakley ran at Dolan, yelled at Dolan... engaged in some aggressive behaviours before security moved in. zero evidence has surfaced that this is the case. Dolan and Oakley were both surrounded by hundreds of people all equipped with smart phone recroding devices. it appears the whole thing started with security just randomly surrounding Oakley. Furthermore, the NYK PR statement of the incident is so vaguely worded it could mean anything. RIght now, Oakley's version looks credible and the NYK's look like dick-faced assholes. i hope the charges against Oakley are dropped and i hope the NYK's apologize to Oakley. i don't think Oakley is the 2nd coming of mother theresa or anything like that .. but he doesn't deserve this bullshit.
