But as mentioned by Zev there is way to many other factors not takin into account for this list to actually show how player contributes to wins. And it is not a list of the best players in the league. I once read a article about player "gravity" how certain players cause defenses to move to them there by opening up others. This stat has nothing to do with that. That is just one example of how simply using the box score and adjusting it per minute will not give you the best players. Just look back and the lists of past years and you will see, well interesting it is very flawed. ah ok. so you actually don't know anything. Thanks for the confirmation.

Wins Produced is a model for estimating individual player contribution to winning. But what does that actually mean? Is Sefolosha really contributing more to "winning" than Durant? A layman explanation for a newb like me would be helpful.

Neither player is involved in "garbage time". However, JV plays against much stiffer competition during his time on the floor. If this stat could be adjusted to the quality of the competition it would be better. Also, the cut off point in this list is 150 minutes and Nogueira was at 150 minutes when this was posted. Obviously, the lower the minute total the more the "small sample size" red flag can be used. as a newcomer, back up center Lucas Nogueira has impressed me. He plays his position and keeps his mouth shut. How in the name of the baby jesus Ujiri turned John Salmons into Lou Willliams and Lucas Nogueira i will never know.

i just read 3 pages of your back and forth it was entertaining as f***, keep it up. Question, what is "garbage time"? is it when you let non-starters play?

that is the problem with over analyzing the stats involving the first 20% of any season in any sport. i watched the entire Rockets/Raptors game and Nogueira played well. You do not have to generate the common offensive stat numbers people love to read in order to contribute to a team win.

this is not the Vince Carter era.. the owners of the Raptors/Leafs/Raptors905/TFC/Marlies/ take the 2 basketball teams every bit as seriously as the 2 hockey teams.
