I think Real Madrid has worst team now that last year, lol. I agree that Chealsea was the best in the transfer windows. | ||

Welbeck and Balotelli going for the same fee isn't too surprising. Balo has a piss-poor reputation and is coming in from a cash-strapped club. Welbeck proved last season what he could do if given a chance to lead the line and was brilliant against Real Madrid. And he's English, so that drives the price up. Surprised United didn't squeeze for more. Getting Kondogbia as well would be brilliant, but I doubt that can be completed in time. Blimey, English media is neutered, having to apologise on the behalf of twats in the background. | ||

Ed Woodward needs the boot. Oh btw, we've had a pretty terrible transfer window as well. The entire summer it looks like we're gonna lose Daley Blind. Then when it finally happens the day before the window closes, they're like 'oh wow we didn't see that coming, let's go into panic mode and in the end not buy anyone'. It's dumb as well. Mokotjo who played at PEC Zwolle last year was a very cheap grab for €1,5m. Good player in the Eredivisie. We could've easily gotten him but they were like 'ehhh Blind is not gone yet so we're not gonna get him'. Now Twente signed him. Sigh. Sell de Jong, Blind. Poulsen end of his contract. Sell Vermeer (one of the best Dutch goalkeepers, van Gaal would make him his starter if he was the starting goalkeeper at Ajax) to our biggest rival for a scratch on the back. Conclusion? Our average squad age is like 21 or whatever. There's no experience in the squad at all. We only got Viergever who is naturally a defender but he's playing CDM in our squad. Every year they put forth the ambition to survive the CL group stages but there's no growth in the squad, just in the bank account. €115m in the bank account. Sad thing is though, that their hands are actually tied as well. No big player wants to play in Holland. But they could at least try a little more :[ Last few days we've tried getting van Ginkel, who went for AC Milan. Then we tried getting Pröpper and/or Vejinovic from Vitesse. Apparently the agent of Pröpper called the technical director of Vitesse to which he replied: ok tell them (Ajax) to tell me how much they offer. Ajax apparently never called? Incompetence. Now they loan Zimlich or whoever the fuck. He played at NEC and is apparently not good enough to stay at FSV Mainz 05. And they think that he's good enough for the level we try to achieve? Ugh. Let's hope our youth academy spews up a few talents at least. We should still be able to win the Dutch Eredivisie (though PSV is a strong contender because they actually got good players) but CL is a pipedream. I guess in this group that would be a pipedream with 3 extra players as well, but still. | ||

Anyway the Feyenoord transfer window has been one big gamble, our TD sold all our best players early on to have enough money to shop in August and it nearly cost his head had Manu not made that goal against Zorya. In the end our TD did alright getting Toornstra, El Ahmadi, Vermeer and Bilal, while also extending Clasie's contract which feels like a new signing. Our defense is still crap and we have no striker so a title challenge is still very far off, but at least a good European peformance and European spots for next season look in our grasp now. | ||
