3 games in 7 days and there are only 2 GKs, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, and 3 forwards in the squad. After that theres only a bunch of youth and Bendtner that made like 5 starts between them last season.

Or maybe it means Gustavo wants to go somewhere where he will play every week, and won't have to adapt to a new language ahead of the world cup?

what's wrong with him? It was between him and Arteta actually. But Arteta is injured. I could prolly cut someone and get another 1.5 points to get Yaya Toure actually.

It's even worse when you consider that 3 of the 13 fit players are the most injury prone players: Gibbs, Rosicky, and Wilshere...
I suspect we'll see Aaron Ramsey play all 10 outfield positions by October 1.
Ramsey is injured too
Fuuuuuuuuck
So saturdays lineup will be: ---------Szczesny Jenks-Mert-Kos-Gibbs --------Jack---Ox ----------Rosicky --???---Giroud---Poldi
Apparently Walcott has a small injury as well so if he doesn't start then we'll have Gnabry/Ryo on the right wing? Or Ox on the wing and Eisfeld/DENCH in midfield? I can't think of any other players that could come into the team.
I'm thinking about Paulinho, Navas, van Wolfswinkel and.... someone I forgot the name of, another new signing basically. But it's a bit tricky with new players some times. xD
could do with a separate thread for people showing everyone their basically identical dream teams with small tweaks.
And yeah, Arsenal are just so facepalmingly stationary when everyone else is moving, if Wenger manages to nick a 4th place AGAIN I will be convinced he is the second coming of jesus.

This. Gustavo's German is quite good, he knows the Bundesliga in and out, and Wolfsburg's Brazilians Diego and Naldo probably did some convincing, too. The wages Arsenal could offer were probably similar, given that the tax rate in Germany is higher.
Plus i think he is really really average at best xD But still, with a Brazilian midfield with the likes of Diege and Naldo too will be fun times for Wolfsburg
I'm not a mean-spirited person by an mean, but its just hilarious whenever i see arsenal and actually enjoy it now. Who's going to play defensive mid now lol? I sort of wish arsenal gets more players injured just for the lulz. Sorry arsenal fans, i cant imagine what it'd be like to be in your shoes, but yeah... I enjoy arsenal failing

I imagine Wenger will use that Wilshere-Ramsey pivot (if Ramsey is fit) that looked terrible against counter-attacks versus Napoli in the Emirates Cup. Otherwise I'd guess Wilshere-Ox, MAYBE Frimpong, but I highly doubt he's in the first team plans considering he didn't travel on the Asia Tour and didn't appear in the Emirates Cup.
Then he'll have Podolski on the left wing, with Walcott on the right, or Serge Gnabry/Ryo if Walcott isn't fit.
Edit: Ramsey is fit! That makes me feel a lot better about this weekend.
