Calling all StarCraft2 Players!!! Are you ready to take your game to the next level? Ready to dominate the competition and win some serious BG TOKENS!? The time has come and there are lots of BG TOKENS on the line! Let us remind you that BG TOKENS have REAL CASH value! Starting on Monday June 4th at 7pm EST our first of four qualifiers will start. The following four Mondays will consist of 3 more qualifiers and 1 Invitational Tournament on Monday July 2nd, 2012. Each qualifier will be a 200 BG Tokens buy-in. Top 4 players in each qualifier are guaranteed a spot in the invitational, they also will receive their share of the guaranteed 10,000 BG Tokens.
Yes each qualifier will have the buy-in prize pool and the guaranteed 10k BG Tokens with a TOTAL possible $356.00 USD in BG Tokens up for grabs. The Top 16 players from the qualifiers will participate in an invitational tournament. The invitational will have 50,000 BG TOKENS up for grabs. The top four players the will be paid out! If you do not have enough Tokens in your account you can Get more here. All players that want to join must have an account on the North American Server.
Not able to participate but still want to check out the action? Tune into Twitch for live stream coverage of Grand Finals. Stream will start at 8:00pm EST Monday July 11th.
This is a single elimination best of three series(first to two). Anyone on North American servers are welcome to participate. Each qualifier will start at 7:00pm est

What does it take to be a Premium member? It sounds like you have to pay to be able to cash out ?

Currently you cannot buy that membership. The tokens you will win can not be cashed out for (Money) currently. We are updating our website very soon. With those updates are the new memberships and cash out options. You can however still redeem any of the prizing in our market until then.
EDIT TO ADD: We are now allowing players in this tournament to exchange their winnings for cash!

They probably have some kind of partnership or some deal that they can get which gets them a cut of the purchase and maybe a small discount for the customer. Dunno though just speculating

I just don't get the point of playing for magical internet points which you can then exchange for prizes when you can play in less risky tournaments that actually have cash prizes.

So it's a buy in tournament where you basically get useless store credit? What reason is there to play in this over a real money tournament? I already have a mouse and keyboard, I'd rather get money for food.

You are correct. Although in this case we are also putting additional prizes up for the winners. On top of the pooled tokens from all the players we are giving away 100,000 tokens!! Also to note, for this competition only we are letting all players either buy gear form or store or exchange their tokens for cash.

The main reason you would want to join this over other tournaments is because we are putting up an extra 100,000 tokens on top of what each player is putting up. Also, for this tournament we are now allowing players to exchange their tokens for CASH!! You could easily walk away with enough money to pay for groceries for weeks!
