Missed your chance to get a BlizzCon ticket? Don't worry, we have six tickets to BlizzCon 2010 to give away, courtesy of Intel and intelssdgaming.com!
Contest Rules You must design an original poster featuring the following:
- An unaltered Intel logo
- An unaltered Blizzard logo
- One or more of these unaltered text mentions:
- Get in the Game Faster
- Intel® Solid-State Drives
- Speed Demon
Entries featuring modification, distortion, destruction, defaming or devaluing of the Intel or Blizzard logos will be disqualified. Entries with any alteration of original color, texture or adjustment of any kind to these logos will be disqualified. Inappropriate (sexist, racist, etc) entries will be disqualified and removed.
Entries with profanity cannot be selected as a winner. Example: "Hell, it's about time" is not acceptable. However, self-censorship "Heck, it's about time" or just removing the profane word "It's about time" are fine.
Winners are responsible for their own transportation to BlizzCon 2010, held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. All winning submissions become the property of Quango Inc.
How To Enter Design your poster and submit it in this thread. You may enter more than once. The contest will close on Saturday, Oct 16 12:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) and winners will be notified as soon as possible. We've included some logos below to help you get started.

WTB contest for the non creative stupid people! seriously - I love those TL- shirt giveaways in the weeklys but there is always some graphical stuff involved
|
Damn why's there always photoshop skills needed for those contests where you can win some tickets
|
how big does it have to be?
|
So the winner only gets one ticket, not a pair of tickets? I agree with Poke that it would be better to give away three prizes so that each winner could bring a guest.
|
Can I offer my soul instead? My artistic skills are far below average.
|
awesome. expect ownage from this guy =]

Is TL.net involved in this contest in any way beyond it being a sponsored thread?
I'm mainly asking because I'm wondering if the 6-ticket prize pool is for TL.net submissions only, or if it's the same prize pool as anywhere else on the internet Quango might be advertising this contest.
(also no size/resolution requirement?)

I would assume 18"x24", this is standard poster size for an indoor poster normally. Most indoor ones are this size. 300dpi for print jobs, although on backgrounds and stuff you can usually get away with a little less, but I wouldn't recommend it for the text. Yes, the file will be huge. I recommend working with a low rez proxy and then putting the high rez version in the final version.
As far as uploading it, just save it as a smaller jpeg or png, and if you win you can deliver the high rez file =]

blizzcon tickets are a different matter altogether TBH

Awesome. I live in Anaheim and I'll definitely try this contest out.
by the way there is no theme for the poster right? Just anything original you can think of that includes the logos?
|

A lot of the submissions from this site are going to be SICK. Watch.
There are some really talented people here. I can't wait to see what comes out.

|
If I had any ability to do this and win I think I would actually fly out.

correct. im guessing because its such a big corporate company.. you wouldn't want to include any other logos in the poster ( as in if you are taking a photo (for some unknown reason)... don't include a coke can in it...or a keyboard.. don't include the logo on the keyboard.. Photoshop it out)
just a handy tip i guess

a lot of people have asked what it has to be about... so... read that =] It needs to be about intel's solid state drives.

(also no size/resolution requirement?) It's for TL.net submissions only. We will be giving out 6 tickets to the TL community.
