It's early on so you'll prob not have any hero damage down anyway.

6 PST's like 2 AM saturday CET. Thanks for thinking of the euros, Ghandi. <3
And my warrior deck is actually kind of controlish. I have none of the legendaries so I ran Stalagg+Feugen, 2 Faceless Manipulators, 2 Kor'Kron Elite, and Loatheb. Switched an Arcanite Reaper and a Cruel Taskmaster out for 2 Armorsmiths, switched the Faceless for 2 Sunwalkers too.
+ Show Spoiler +Basically I noticed the armorsmiths in Trump's deck but without the shield slams I wondered if it was worth it, especially since with my lack of finisher I need strong minions. Faceless Manipulators ended up being dead in my hand far too often (mulligan'd into one and drew the other turn 2 one game, didn't have the coin either, was basically gg) and I can't reallistically play them before turn 6-7 (to play my 5-drops first), so they're way too low. They don't bring much versus aggro (unless I need to copy a Sludge Belcher to survive one more turn?) and the cancer that is Hunter has unlimited answers to everything so even copying a Highmane isn't worth shit, to which you can add the need for like a weapon/minion + potentially execute, followed by cleave, to get rid of that shit. I added in the Sunwalkers for some value taunts, 'cept most of my issues come from Hunter already. They're getting removed too easily and they're too slow. I need something else.
So basically putting armorsmiths and sunwalkers out, in search of something for a more stable early game (I've gotten fucked over by early draws several times because that deck has little early presence unless weapons if you don't draw the taunts, and you need to be able to pump ghouls/death bites + acolytes for your draw), and a better finisher than Stalagg/Feugen/Gorehowl.
Before switching to Rogue (and eating a Druid followed by a Priest zzzz) I was playing that Warrior deck and went maybe 4/7 total, against 2 Warlocks, a Shaman and 8 Hunters. Beat both warlocks, I'll let you calculate the hunter match-up. That Hunter deck is just retarded shit because it's obnoxious to play around their secrets, especially since Mad Scientist brings them at random. It's free, and it can completely fuck over your temp on top of having an already decent minion. Explosive Trap completely destroys aggro decks, while Freezing Trap shoots your tempo down incredibly hard. Because they're hard to play against, it also makes it very hard to hit their face with something other than a weapon (if you're aggro you're losing your entire board in case of explosive trap, if you're control, like this warrior deck very short on minions, you're leaving yourself wide open if you lose a taunt to a freezing trap for example, forcing you to stay passive which plays into the Hunter's hand unless you have a good draw already). It also doubles as removal, while the cheap cost of their Buzard based combos and the even cheaper cycle of flare means they're more dangerous than a goddamn Paladin as soon as turn 5 (aggressive mulligan for a mad scientist means by turn 3 they'll have a contingency plan to stall more aggressive decks anyway) and you can't wrestle board control from them. They remove Sludge Belchers so easily while shit like Houndmaster make them sticky, a mediocre draw is enough to spell doom because you'll have no answers to their shit. And then in my case without the finisher I have to deal with fucking huge-ass value Highmanes, and the legendaries these guys drop like candy too.
Basically you're left with little to no decision-making because of the very complementary nature of their traps, in that any choice you make is going to be bad for you. Meanwhile the hunter doesn't have much choice because that deck (same as a fuckton of hunter decks) doesn't require that much finesse, even if it isn't as mindless as a facerush one.
Which leads me to Backspace Rogue: I don't feel like it has as much decisions to make, or as intricate, as a more control-oriented deck, like the Warrior one. Sure, it has different decisions, and it's interesting to learn when to hit face and when to deal with what's on the board "normally", when to take risks and drop them to 5 HP instead of waiting one more turn hoping to draw a card allowing a OTK. Also, and even though I only lack 2 cards from the "optimal" deck (Leroy and another one-off iirc), I still feel like I often lose before turn 1 just because I have a shit starting hand even post-mulligan, or because I get stuck for 3 turns with a leper gnome and an argent squire on board, then blade flurry, coldlight oracle (which you don't want to play turn 3) and shadowstep in my hand, when I'd want to get a cold blood, eviscerate (with something to combo it obv.) or crystal golem. Its draw doesn't look very reliable either, meaning you can run out of steam or have "dead turns" at turns 4 and 5 very easily, which means you basically give a free turn to your opponent to turn it around. Considering it's supposed to even beat cancer secret Hunter fairly reliably, I'm surprised considering how much trouble I have using it and the fact that I'm not always playing against people with full decks themselves.

Protoss players, at least in my opinion, are far more unpredictable and cheeky. Zerg players I see as an honest man trying to do honest work so that he can support his wife and family. (Or his chip collection in this case) Protoss players are more like Deadpool. You don't know what he's going to do, all you know that it's going to be absolute madness. And it'll probably end up working.
And Terran versus Terran is that magical match-up where literally anything can happen!

Turn 5 aoe the board for 4 and deal 5 is slow? You can kill someone from 15 on turn 6? Seems fucking good to me.

Remember that you were a diamond player, and the highest I've been in is platinum. Right now I'm in gold, which means you were two divisions higher than me when you used to play.
Basically what I'm hoping for is that me + practice is roughly equivalent to you without practice. I want these to be close games, if for the reason that they will be more enjoyable to watch.

I trust in you Cixah, it's just so card expensive, how can you keep the tempo up... And you only use the chow for the deathrattle?
|
I don't have Leroy 0/10 wouldn't play.
How do you use the PW: Shield usually? On the undertakers, lightwardens, cultists and whoever has potentially to hit hard? I assume you trade Chow asap and if you see no opportunity you try to keep them until Auchenai entes the fray. PW: Shield to make a minion survive a trade right before you heal them so that's a free buff for lightwarden?
Auchenai+Chow and Circle of Healing on cultist/PW: Shield buffed minions (since most have 1 HP) are the core of the deck, with Circle of Killing being your trump card in case things go south to reset the board then fill it again?
You only have 4 cantrips btw, that seems low for such a short-curved deck. How do you maintain a healthy hand?

I havent played in a year and half.. what are the keys even lol

You generate enough advantage that playing that low number really isn't that major of a down side tbh. Your goal is kill them. You can't do that if you don't go get um. The fact that everything has deathrattle helps.
