Then again they're much cooler so that's probably not more enjoyable, so like...
Nevada? Tennessee? Mississippi?
Michigan, Northern Florida, Alaska..
In pokemon news, Pachirisu is king. Lapras is back aannnd.. If you put protect or substitute on a pokemon it will most likely do well in VGC..

Net Neutrality, pretty much decides who and when I vote.

Tons of them. I guess the largest would be individual freedoms and you know not getting involved in peoples personal lives.

So how do you tie these topics in with larger topics of world peace, society, taxation, crime etc etc?
For example, one of my topics is environment, but without some form of basic social equity, you won't get anywhere since human survival in the short term will always win vs long term environmental goals. This quickly broaden what I need to care about a lot, and for me specifically as a swede, make stuff like international aid interesting.

Trying to talk to one of my coworkers about it was hilarious. She wasn't really in the know, so I tried explaining what the big deal was. She was like "well then if it's really that bad just drop the ISP".
"Well...no, if we had no internet, not only would our company cease to function, but if everyone followed that advice then the world would just stop"

Without going into in depth point by point, The bill of rights and the US constitution isn't that bad a document to base things off of, if it's not on the list and not for the betterment of society as a whole I'm not happy with it. I dunno I hate discussing politics mostly because it's so easy to dip into extremism so I feel the need to tap dance around it so I don't offend anybody.

Protect/Detect is probably the best generic move in Doubles. It's really powerful because you can use it for scouting move sets/items for free, stall out weather/Trick Room/Tailwind, etc. Like honestly if you don't have a 4th move for a Pokemon you can just slap Protect on it and 90% of the time it's not a bad decision.

Well what exactly are you asking for? Think knowing context is pretty important. If you trying to convince a group of people of an issue for instance the best way is always to personalize the content in some way. If you just trying to have an intellectual discussion than it's a whole different ball game.

I'm just curious as to what y'all think. Also election in Sweden in a month, so politics pop up everywhere.

Sitting in on my bosses interview was weird.
It's really awkward when people obviously have no IT background.

I can't believe there's such a long delay between the DM's Guide and all the other core 5e books. WANT.

Towards the end of last year, my boss's boss sent me an email with someone's resume asking if I knew him and could give an opinion about him. Took me a few minutes to realize it was someone that I had gone to school with and taken a bunch of classes with. The next week, I was pulled into the interview with him. It was really weird being in an interview with not only a dude that I knew, but someone that graduated a year earlier than me.
He works for the company now (in a "sister" department), it was just an interesting chain of events.

One month for the Monster Manual is one thing... but then DM's in November?
I mean, I guess that's in order of "importance to playing in terms of general rules" but I mean... DMG... that's still pretty important.

How are you guys liking the 5th edition of Dungeons and Dragons? Better than fourth edition? Better than 3.5? What do you guys think of fifth edition?
|
I'm really enjoying 5e. I've spoken with Yango a bit, and he says a lot of the issues in 4e were resolved in 5e.
edit: I have yet to experience any moderate to higher level (7+) stuff in 5e, so I can't pass any judgement there.
