It'll have gameplay differences, I think they said there'll be some missions for certain subfactions and possibly special upgrades for the classes. For example, Blood Angel Assault Marines might have more options than the other Chapters, and Wraithguards might get bonuses if they're from Iyanden. But since it's still pre-beta right now, we don't know the specifics.

Well, so this is how it works. Starting the 25th (and going for an unspecified amount of time), you can buy the Founder's Pack. This is just paying for the game, but since you got it early, you get the standard early access stuff (separate weapon loadouts, icons, cosmetic stuff, etc). Then, throughout the rest of the year, there'll be weekend alpha sessions, and any Founder gets to participate. Starting January 2015, there'll be full early access beta that every Founder gets into automatically. Once it launches, you keep your cosmetic/Founder stuff but play like everyone else.
After launch, anyone can play f2p, but as an Ork Boy as the only faction/class combo (so no Ork Nobz/Mekboyz/etc). There's no monthly charge, though, just one payment for the game.

Today has been a good day. It's midsummers eve, one of the bigger Swedish holidays. Had friends over for cake and dinner. nom nom. fun fun. puppy behaved very well, mostly slept and charmed our friends.

So my coworker got Pokemon for the first time with the 3DS to play with his wife but didn't understand a lot of stuff. So I sat down with him for like 40 minutes explaining to him stats, natures, breeding, catch rates, EVs, movepools, and happiness while our BA stared at me like I'm batshit crazy.

I was explaining to my friend about how it took me an entire day to breed 4/5 max IVs/egg moves on a Pokemon.
Her response: "YOU CAN BREED POKEMON IN THIS GAME?"
(In my defense, she's world class level at Tetris so I thought she would know a little more.)
