True PvZ has been mostly terrible for all of LotV. I kinda liked HotS PvZ (probably helped by the fact I freakin LOVED playing it - 5 phoenix into colossi + blink stalkers all day long baby !) but I know a lot of people won't agree with me on that. But LotV PvZ has indeed been a trainwreck...

pvz has never been in a good state. think of pvz wol. no don't, it is too painful. late wol and early hots was just bl infestor and protoss trying to either circumnavigate the death ball or go this weird mass blink stalker play to pick them off. both super gimmicky and neither solution really worked. the only real response was to get the ultimate protoss deathball, which would be superiour to their inferior zerg deathball, so every game is either 20 minutes and you lose or 60 minutes and you win. pvz looks much better these days as neither seem to be able to get up to their ultimate composition. so a lot of scrappy fights. the adept is a really stupid unit, though.

That would be the four months between sangate, Swarm host and baguette style. (Baguette was rather funny to watch tho).
The few times muta were a thing also made for pretty good game

as I said I enjoyed mid HotS PvZ. SHs could be played around even if they were a pain. I definitely agree the mu was still very flawed but that was the state of it I liked best. I don't really like it currently, P don't seem to stand a chance lategame and the gladept builds are the only thing keeping high level winrates acceptable, but since they mostly fail vs the best Zergs...

just nix the adept and give the stalker a +1 damage buff. also why is this a thing. why do stalkers not do full damage against light units? meanwhile they are used mostly to pick off light units. sc2 is just weird man
