Astrea even nearly made a Nexus first work lol In the Taiwan playoff finals in Has vs Nice, Has went nexus first 2 or 3 times out of 5 games and did really well with it.

But that's very interesting to hear, could shake the meta of this mu quite a bit

ok time for the match, sorry Showtime I'll root for my fellow countryman ! Gogo Drogo !

I think his issues are more about him managing to keep his level of play good enough when the stakes are high and you tend to become shaky. You could clearly see how he dropped one or two levels quality of play wise once he got a winning position vs MaNa.

I think builds that proxy heavy hitting units (VRs or immos, VR seem better to me since stargate can also net eco kills with an oracle first) and build shield batteries at the front of the natural can still beat Nexus first, but this is a theory discussion I'm eager to see pros have

I mean it takes a while for the nexus to pay for itself and for you to catch up in army.
If you know your opponent is prone to nexus first you can just blind counter it tho if you feel it's coming imo.

ok Showtime goes for the proxy answer. I'm already so excited to see this game !

Yeah, sometimes it feels like pressure when he is so close to make a great result gets to him. Hopefully he overcomes that and we get to see him play in his full potential more often!

I'm like actually worried that if you can hold proxy robo with nexus first this will eventually become a phoenix meta again.

My God Showtime's control to keep the prism alive is incredible
