he didn't force sOs to choose collossi it's his go-to playstyle.

Medivacs, tanks, liberators, widow mines are all not Tier 1 units. And I really like about BW and SC2 that T1 units are still viable in the late game due to upgrades and synergy with T2 and T3 units.
