Gotta root for Polt here, we have zvz covered already.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

They're gonna ask about the PR if Polt wins and I'm gonna get a lot of hate <<

Shouldn't have ranked him so low then xd

There's no way you can really argue for Polt top 3 outside of 'he wins a lot, so he'll win here'.. which.. ehh, it's an argument, but then I'd have to put Lilbow top 10 if not top 8 which is obviously wrong #4, though, probably.

NO WAY????? whaaaaat...

I would definitely make the "he wins a lot, he'll win here" argument, for all the talk about SC2's inconsistency, there are actually very few players with multiple major tournament wins, and pretty much all of them are considered among the very best players to have ever touched the game. Also, Polt won Catz's online tournament vs sOs, who won IEM.

So, MLord, Drogo, Hydra, and Nerchio. They are the 4 players you ranked ahead of Polt.

Hydra I would rank above Polt. Those other 3, I would not.

But the thing is, I'm not ranking based on "he wins a lot, he'll win here". You could, hypothetically, but I didn't. Because that isn't exciting, at all. Based on the results they displayed- Polt has objectively worse NA results than Hydra. Polt's significantly more sporatic than MarineLorD/Nerchio. I valued the consistency shown by Nerchio/MarineLorD over him, Iv valued Hydra's head-to-head and in-region performance over him, and I valued PtitDrogo a little too heavily in general due to his Leipzig performance. How is that incorrect?

Ahhh, ok, maybe I misunderstood how you were doing the PR. Let's forget about that for moment then.

In your opinion, would you rate Polt as more or less likely to win this tournament than MLorD, Nerchio, or PtitDrogo?

In terms of likelyhood to win, I'd have him tied at first with Nerchio and Hydra. He's shown more 'clutch factor' than the other two, but Hydra has a good amount of clutch factor and higher consistency, while Nerchio's consistency is off the charts right now. It's really clos between the three and I could see any of those three being picked without much problem

The elimination thing at tournaments is really sad. At later stages, I usually like all the players. They should make it so that everyone can be a winner.

I don't believe. Polt pls.

Polt Hydra faith

Polt vs Nerchio/Snute vs Hydra is my dream Ro4, would be so good.

I first read that as a 1vArchonv1

I was very confused

2017 - to give foreigners an edge against Koreans, they will play archons against single Korean players.

I am honestly not sure that the EU archon could win

Two random players together would probably hilariously loose. An arranged archon of even NA pros trained together is physically unbeatable in one person.

Realistically I would agree with you. Randoms archoning vs a Korean would be amazing to watch though.

Wasn't there a korean show that did it after code a?

Oh my god, I just checked the bracket again. I didn't realize that we have 2 ZvZs in Ro8 and one in Ro4, and if Polt and HuK lose, then we have an all ZvZ tournament. I'm not going to watch further if Polt loses then probably, I never watch ZvZ, it's so boring. Nor do I want to watch HuK try to gateway allin his way to the final and die horribly along the way, leaving us to the joys of ZvZ.
