RIP Cure's royal road chances. He's still probably the breakout player of 2014 but I don't see him beating Innovation after this result.

I wonder if the viewership was satisfying enough for Redbull. 50k for their big final event of the year isn't that great. :/

It's about as good as it gets for Starcraft 2 these days. Even the WCS tournaments barely go over 25k nowadays, and GSL seems to hover around 10k.

Let's just say that Starcraft 2 has a relatively small but very dedicated viewer base, and that is something to be proud of. It's very nice to see the same group of people in these LR threads time and again. The sense of community this creates is pretty great!

Zest is the breakout player of 2014. He didn't even qualify once for WCS KR in 2013.

Zest and Cure were at the exact same spot at the beginning of the year. Hell Zest back then was about as good as Paralyze is right now to put that into perspective.

Zest was a nobody who got a handful of PL appearances who suddenly became the indisputable best player in the world while walking the Golden Royal Road.

I dissed Scarlett way too hard. I feel really bad about it even though no one really cares.
