Well the tournament organizers provide translators so why not use them, right? Koreans have never struck me as "must gain popularity no matter what" type of people except for a couple of players.

As much as I like MC, I hope MMA wins with yet another 4-2 or maybe a 4-1.

I still prefer him over Tod, Rotterdam or every other foreign caster with either a horrible accent or bad grammar, or both. Nothing personal against the casters, it's just a pet peeve of mine as someone who's been studying languages since he's 10.

As someone who's been studying languages probably as long as you have (14 years for me), I have to disagree. You should know how hard it is for people who haven't been born in an English-speaking country to learn the entirety of the English language (pronunciation, accent, grammar, writing, conversion of thought to words in general, and so on). The inverse is also the same, wherein people who grow up in the US, UK and Australia etc. also find that they have a hard time learning another language that doesn't have a similar structure to their native English language. For someone who isn't a native English speaker like ToD, he gets his thoughts across really well, and has a pretty decent level of command over the English language. Plus, French accents are commonly found as attractive to a lot of women worldwide, which is a nice plus.

Same, it was such a depressing thing to watch unfold. We were supposed to get Bomber/Taeja vs Polt in the finals, damnit.

IMO, Polt vs any of the guys in the top bracket could've been a great match. Needless to say, I expected Polt to at least reach the finals if not win, so that was pretty disappointing.

It's probably due to the fact that correct pronunctiation is really emphasised over here in Belgium. It's drilled almost as much as grammar rules are. Not having an accent is definitely a matter of pride for most of my friends, whether it's English, French or German. I'm doing an internship in a very international environment now, and so far I've managed to "deceive" every single native English speaker into thinking I'm British. It took me years of hard work though so I know how difficult it is. I have to say that Tod improved a ton compared to the earlier WCS seasons though. He's clearly working on it.
