Yeah indeed, reason a gateway scout to maru's base on a 2 player map would of been justified justs found it weird he started that with a lap around his base.
If he proxied outside of his base and he scouted inside he would of looked silly xD
And im pretty sure proxy rax outside of your base happens 90% more in GM than in base ones...VS TERRAN xD

Yeah, forgot about the Pylon. Heck, I put a second pylon down there in my games. And, if I remember correctly, he put a second pylon in a similar location on Heavy Rain. It means you see the Reaper coming in sooner.

These people clearly need to play more team games where Protosses are constantly trying to build gates and Zergs are constantly trying to build hatches in your base, or Terrans are trying to build raxes outside and then float them in.

Zest was worried that Maru might expand again - while stopping Zest from a 4th - and out-macro him like in game 1. Zest wanted to break the confine by hitting Maru hard at home. Maybe he forces Maru to pull back.

still, the map was deadalus and the opponent maru. In that combination it is wise to scout your base, especially when you are down a game which is the situation many ppl will cheese you to get that quick 2:0.

Idk I feel like Zest just couldn't keep up with Maru. Same thing happened in game 1, when Maru was putting pressure he was banking so many resources, in game 3 he couldn't properly respond on both fronts and Maru could.
This was not Zest from PL at all.

Pandemona, it's Maru. He does cheese a lot in G2 if he wins, and checking the base is not a sick thing to do if you're playing someone who has or has had the reputation of being cheesy.

Just think of it for what it is... he moved his probe about 3 inches in his base. Its one of the most basic things you could ever do. Different from sending a probe across the map and randomly finding a tech building in the corner somewhere.

When did i say it was a sick thing to do i don't get that. I might of miss strung my sentences together as it is am xD Im saying WHY did he scout his base first. No one in base proxies, unless your a Protoss in PvP or a in sub diamond league no? Or am i that out of touch with anything other than GSL/ProLeague ;_;
