Zest is worried that Maru might expand again - while stopping Zest from a 4th - and out-macro him like in game 1. Zest wanted to break the confine by hitting Maru hard at home. Maybe he forces Maru to pull back.

Just think of it for what it is... he moved his probe about 3 inches in his base. Its one of the most basic things you could ever do.
Different from sending a probe across the map and randomly finding a tech building in the corner somewhere.

Didn't he have observer coverage throughout the map? I mean that smaller zealot runby on the left (the GOM observer then jumps to the big runby seconds later) moved in when the obs saw Maru move out.
